I've found out more since I last posted here:
Calulatem Pro doesn't just give pot odds & % chances of making various types of hands, it also gives advice on what actions the Hero should take [fold, call, bet, raise] for LHE games where the decision tree is vastly smaller than NLHE. It came out around 10-12 years ago & it was selling back then for $100 for one years' licence - fools & their money!
Here is an 8 year old thread about the product & it's clear that people aren't impressed. For one thing it seems to not give good advice:
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/45...-i-buy-124216/
Other factors that count against it:
[1] The software isn't maintained so it doesn't work well these days [or rather it never worked well]
[2] Some, most or all versions available all over the net WILL contain malware or it would not be so widespread
[3] If it really could do what it claims it would today [now that PS are tightening up on player tools] be on either
(a). the PokerStars Prohibited Tools & Software list or
(b). on their list of "tools and services which are prohibited while PokerStars is running". This is because it gives advice on the current game state that goes beyond reporting data and statistics. In fact there's a similar tool called "Texas Calculatem" which falls into category b.
Read this to give you an idea. NB the lists are not exhaustive, they are just examples of what's permitted, what's permitted in a limited way & what's prohibited:

...I've read on HM2/PT4 but these seem to just track my own hands and compile a history
You have that wrong.
HM2 &
PT4 are indeed both tracking your hands, but it's also tracking how villains are playing in those hands & their individual tendencies. In addition to that both programs offer many reports so that you can analyse your play, your opponents play & find leaks in both. These are both very good programs. A tracker/analysis tool is
ESSENTIAL if you're going to maximise your win rate
I use
HM2

I'm thinking about Poker Pro Labs "Poker Calculator Pro" or "Starshelper"
Poker Calculator Pro: Some of the key features are disabled on PokerStars to comply with their ToS. On PokerStars you can't use voice commands nor can it give you advice on how to play your hands. This is
not a tracker program. It doesn't enable you to analyse players either as far as I'm aware [I could be wrong]. I also believe that this is one of a handful of programs that introduced the
Odlanor cheating malware to computers last year - you may want to research if that's true & have a think about it...
StarsHelper: Another product in the same category is
TableNinja II - these programs are designed to make it much easier to grind many tables at once - there's a forum on 2+2 for TN II you should go look at it. If multi-table grinding is your objective then go for it. Some very nice features - I particularly like that it converts stacks to BBs, but I don't use either program myself since I am not a multi-tabler nor a tournament player. These are not tracker programs [just in case you thought they were]
MY THOUGHTS: I don't know why I bother, because I know people don't ever follow advice in poker or love, but here goes anyway...
As a poker beginner you are coming to this with entirely the wrong outlook & with the wrong objectives
[1] You are looking for programs that tell you what decisions to make at the table. You will not improve your game going this route.
[2] You have misunderstood & dismissed HM2 & PT4. The two most important tracking/analysis programs in online NLHE.
[3] You are thinking about multi-tabling as efficiently & effortlessly as possible
The impression I'm getting is you would be happy to buy a bot to play for you. I predict that if you stick with poker & your multi-table, robotic approach you will never be better than a marginally winning grinder & you are exactly the type of player that sites are trying to get rid of today.
