Just wanted to thank Buzz for all his help and all the flops in omaha articles.

A couple months ago I messaged him asking for the articles and he helped as much as he could, I eventually found all of them. I read them on my flight to vegas this summer and referenced them a few times. Luckily for me all the hard work and being able to bink at the right times got me to the FT of the 3k FLO8.

I want Buzz to know that everything he does on this forum is greatly appreciated and I am always learning from all of you as well.

Thanks again

I appreciate all buzz does for this forum. Even though we often don't see eye to eye on strategy he always seems to come across in a respectful and genuine manner.

He is a very great guy. He always provides detailed analysis on all of my posts. It is really great to see how much he likes to help people and his genuine interest in the game. I have made good $$ from the game, which has helped me financially. This game helped with my down payment for a car lol.

It would be great to have more contributors though. Hopefully the high stake 08 players can contribute more and give back to the community!

Good luck to you next year, Matt.

It's rather awkward for me to PM the articles because they're not currently in shape to PM.

Sorry.

I appreciate the kind words from the others who have responded.

Well I think that a lot of guys who post here do play relatively high stakes. I do not play high stakes but play pretty much all 08 mtts except for the 2k's.

It is slightly tricky as there is such a small pool of reg o8 players that play online at the moment that giving too much information about how you play individual spots is going to give other regs an advantage considering we see each other at final tables on a daily basis. I know that for some players this is a clear reason not to contribute a great deal.

Having said that I and other regs do give their opinions and thought processes on hands so I feel we "do give something back".

Yes, I agree. I think the very small pool of regular O8 players who participate in this forum have, over the years, been very generous with their time and knowledge. Search for predator06's posts over the years, for example, and that's with him having (I believe) a regular gig getting paid for his knowledge.

Unfortunately since Black Friday many US players have drifted from the game, which resulted in decreasing involvement from a pool of players that were both very knowledgeable and very helpful, understanding that it's in the game's interests if we participate and make more people aware of how great O8 is.

Agreed.

I have just been reading some of the Wells by Borys, Assani, Amok and CknPotPie etc and it's been super interesting to look back on. I miss having Wells . There were so many good posters who no longer contribute on the back of the idiocy that was Black Friday that it makes me slightly angry!! I think the Founding Fathers would be appalled at the way poker has been treated.

A discussion of the whole ******ed anti-poker/anti-sports betting/anti-gambling thing in the US could merit its own forum. Suffice it to say we're making baby steps but there's cause for optimism with respect to poker. Nevada, Delaware, and New Jersey are up and running. California sounds like it's close. There are proposals kicking around in another bunch of states.

I appreciate the kind words Niss. There have been a ton of long term regs that have put in time sharing in the community. On the other hand, Buzz has a passion for this forum that is beyond admirable. Some of the detailed math and logic posts that he takes the time to figure out prove this.

Buzz...thanks for what you do for everyone here. Also, thanks for the warnings instead of bans when I was being a jerk.
