Re: ss PLO8 - aggro pre, whiff the flop ($0.10/$0.25)

ahhhh, ok. So basically, on the flop, Villian is getting 2:1 implied odds so getting it in even 40/60 becomes +EV...am I getting this right?

and while I'm still learning relative hand values, ANY A2 would fall into that range?

and that means, based on starting stacks, when I pot the flop it almost always commits my stack. If I just flat pre then I havent necessarily committed my stack, and can make further decisions based on the turn.

btw - as far as topping off, in this game, Ive been buying in for $15....should I be buying in for 100bbs?

Exactly, imho.

its a very nice hand pre and in limit it'd be a pretty good flop coz you're bound to get 3+ callers with probly 50%+ equity

but in nl/pl postflop, nut low draw nothing else aint much, even with cf protection, because the big bets cause everyone to go out and then you either take the pot or you get action from someone who has a high hand/big draw, which has you in bad shape. even made nut low nothing else isn't all that good.

Re: ss PLO8 - aggro pre, whiff the flop ($0.10/$0.25)

so in pl/nl, anything w/o 2-way equity has to be played carefully post flop.

I'm assuming any villain with a high only hand will keep potting as long as there is no low present? which begs a new question....I understand the basic principle of playing a high-only hand in limit: see a flop, be aggressive with a high flop, muck a low flop.

But in pl/nl are high only hands even LESS playable? Does everyone who sees a flop have some sort of low in these games?
