villian has played fairly passive, c/c, c/f sorta thing

maybe 1/2 pot gets a call?

UTG: $37.07
Hero (MP): $35.19
CO: $25.00
BTN: $12.65
SB: $44.87
BB: $10.35

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is MP with J 8 A A
1 fold, Hero calls $0.25, 2 folds, SB calls $0.15, BB checks

Flop: ($0.75) 8 J K (3 players)
SB bets $0.75, BB folds, Hero raises to $2.25, SB calls $1.50

Turn: ($5.25) 5 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $3.50, SB calls $3.50

River: ($12.25) 8 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $12.25, SB folds

I make it about 9$ on the river. Also I would open this hand pre and not limp and I don't know how much I like flop raise.

yea 1/2 pot or smaller good against a passive opponent here, you are mostly hoping hoping for a crying call with a jack or king

Flop raise is a bit silly as he has correct odds to call if he has anything except complete air. Either just call, or make the maximum raise.

Turn bet is kinda funny but against such a passive player it's probably good (if he does have a hand that beats you, it's likely to make him check the river).

On river I'd probably bet about 1/3 pot, you want to get called by flushes, but be able to fold if you get check-raised. But you would vary this size depending on your specific knowledge of the player.

Hopefully you were planning to make a large bet on a blank river
