Self-taught in Hi Lo, how to improve? Self-taught in Hi Lo, how to improve?

Hi.

I started playing MTT Plo Hi Lo/NL Omaha Hi Lo 2 years ago, when I got a bit bored with Holdem. I have never read any book or watched a video.

I play only MTT on Pokerstars. Buyin from 3,30 to 16,50 dollars.

Is there any book that could improve my game? Are there any video series about MTT PL/NL Hi Lo? Should I be rather playing cash?

Are there any Skype groups or coaches for MTT?

These are my Sharkscope stats:

My opinion is... in order to improve, basically,
1. you play and
2. study.
2a. When studying, in particular you want to look for mistakes you have made in hands you've played.
2b. And then, once you discover a mistake you have made, you try to figure out a way to stop making that mistake.
3. Play some more.

I believe there are, but I don't know enough about them to recommend anything to you.

Aside from being bored with Texas hold 'em, why are you playing?

That may seem a stupid question if you think the only reason to play poker is to make money. But I believe most people who play poker play because they enjoy competing or because they enjoy the camaraderie of competing.

If you're playing for enjoyment, as I do, find what you enjoy and do that.

If you're playing to make money, I guess you find where you can make money and do that.

I think so, but I'm not familiar with any enough to recommend any to you.

Beware of getting scammed.

You're welcome to ask questions here. Best way to do that is probably to post a hand history and ask questions about what you might have done wrong in the hand history. I have to warn you... you'll get different opinions and it's up to you do decide what's right for you and what's wrong for you.

Good luck.

Pot Limit Omaha 8 Revealed, Dan Deppen is a great read. I'm primarily a live player, and I was only introduced to O8 in early 2015, but once I started sniffing around for reference material, virtually any reading recommendations I could find mentioned this first.

There is a "newb" thread stickied at the top. Read that. There also is a thread dedicated to books, as Buzz mentioned, read that too. Then, post threads asking specific questions that you haven't been able to find the answers to in the forum already. Post hands and ask people to comment on how you played them. Good luck.
