It's not clear to me whether or not you had a club draw. Doesn't really matter on the river, I suppose. If you did have a club draw, it fizzled, as did your low draw. You have ended up with two pairs, nines over deuces with an ace kicker. I wonder if either opponent has K*** or 2***. Someone with either of those might be in check/call mode. And someone with either of those might have checked the turn.

However, would someone with less than two pairs, nines over deuces with an ace kicker call? Or would someone with K*** fold to a bet? I rather doubt either of these would happen. I think Hero gets called by an opponent with 2***, K*** AA**, QQ**, JJ**, or TT** and check/raised by an opponent with a better hand than 2***.

Therefore I don't think this is the time to value bet. Hero very well might have the best hand, but if so I don't think he gets paid off by a lesser hand.

I'd simply also check and hope my nines over deuces was somehow the best hand.

Re: River spot

Agree with Buzz.

When there's not whole lot worse to call you and barely any better to fold, betting makes little sense and actually costs you money...
