i think omaha hilo is not allowed in france, at least online.

It's allowed in live, but never played in casino, only in "cercle"

I can't seem to find 1 upcoming live tourney in UK or Europe, pretty poor really.

In general, casinos are hesitant to spread mixed game MTTs because the numbers just aren't there. As a community there's not a lot we can do because Poker rooms won't give up money just to appease a small number of us. I'd say something we can do is support all non-Holdem tournaments in general to show these rooms that NLHE isn't everything. I'd say any PLO8 player in here has an edge in PLO over the live donks so try playing those.

I have rang the Vic and they have confirmed they are running their Omaha series.

On the 24/1 they have a £150 PLO game where dealer decides how many cards 4/5/6/7. Should be a blast.
PLO main event I cant play on the 25/1 as its a 2 day event and if I went deep I would miss the PLO8 game.

just in case vegas is an option, theres a few good o8/plo8/big O in the venetian series at start of Feb. think im 50% or greater going but prob last minute booking.

23rd - satellites to saturday main at 7.45pm (£100+10 turbo) and 10pm (£40+6 turbo)

24th at 7.45pm - £150+15 PLO 4/5/6 card. 7-handed, button chooses number of cards and 1 Re-entry with 15k stack and 30 minute clock
+ 10pm (£40+6 turbo) sat to main


25th at 4pm - £250+25 PLO 1 Re-entry, 2-day event (2pm restart) with 20k stack and 40 minute clock
and at 7.45pm - £100+10 Round of PLO/NLH, 1 Re-entry with 10k stack and 30 minute clock

26th at 4pm - £200+20 PLO8, 1 Re-entry with 15k stack and 30 minute clock

I can confirm that we can't run O8 or anything that isn't Limit/PL/NL Holdem and Limit/PL Omaha High in France. You read that right, can't even run NL Omaha High because sometimes laws are weird

I know Omaha 8 is a popular format and trust me, we are committed to putting in as many variants as possible to round out our festivals. I'm a mixed game player who made all my money at O8 and S8 so I believe in those games. Festivals of nothing but NLH don't interest me at all.

Please give us any feedback you think will help and we'll do our best to see that there is always something worth playing if you don't feel like NLH.

So in reality no PLO8 / NLO8 in Vienna either. Very weird to include just FLO8 which is very unpopular in comparison to those.

So I won't have to think about going to EPT in this season, then. Monte Carlo is just worst stop in whole season (if not including PCA), so unbelievable expensive.

P.S. Less mixed games and more purely one format, please. No Texas NL, though.

We had requests from a lot of players for some fixed limit Omaha High Low after doing PLO8 and NLO8 earlier in the season. So since we knew we were doing the big Champs in Monaco, we went with Fixed Limit in Vienna. There will be lots more next year on EPT11 as well.

I do disagree about MC though. It CAN be expensive, but there are plenty of ways to reduce the cost if you know where to go for food, drinks, etc...

I think all of them have a place to be honest, mixed and single games. It is just hard to squeeze them in to a few spots throughout each festival.

Hi all,

Bumping a number of threads with this post as I'm not sure who is reading where about the Omaha 8 questions I've received over the last year or so.

There is a €109 Omaha High Low Player's Choice Satellite tonight at 16:05 ET (21:05 BST / 22:05 CET - #939929132) for the Omaha 8 Championships during EPT11 Barcelona! There are feeders for the Sat running all day from €1.64 to €15.00.

As a reminder, EPT Season 11 is focusing on a different discipline at each stop this year. In Barcelona, the game is Omaha 8 with a €1K FLO8, PLO8 and NLO8. In London it will be €1K Mix (HORSE, 8 Game, 10 Game) and in Prague it is €1K Omaha High (FLO, PLO, NLO). The Spring Events aren't confirmed as of yet.

An additional point about the changes to "Player's Choice" Sats recently made is that no matter what discipline of poker (Holdem, Stud, Omaha) you win your "Seat" in, you can use that ticket for any tournament where Player's Choice is applicable. So if you win a seat in the Omaha 8 Sat tonight, you can still use it for a NLH Player's Choice Event. The same as when you win a NLH Player's Choice you can use that ticket to play any of the Omaha 8 Champs in Barcelona, or the other non-NLH Champs throughout the season.
