9432s is just to weak to limp under the gun. On the flop with just a bare nut low draw facing action before us we have an easy fold.

Re: PLO8 25 nut lo draw on the flop

In the big bet (nl/pl) game it's very important to place a great significance on one's high hand potential. Not only does it give you a chance to win the pot without a low being possible, it also becomes very relevant when one makes their low hand and splits the low side of the pot. Furthermore, it gives you greater confidence and bettability of your hand, often enabling semi bluffing with near impunity to which your opponent(s) can only react by folding since they cannot pay the crushing prices you will and should charge for them to make their half pot hands. These large bets strike fear into every player too that they may make their half pot hand and only get half of what they put in back, because they have no high hand and fear they may chop the low.

Thus when good players get it in with each other, nut low draw/made nut low and nut draws become almost a given, and then a combination of low hand counterfeit protection, made hands and nut draws decide who gets three quarters of or scoops the pot. The hands in which all in confrontations do not occur are absolutely dominated and determined by the player in position.

.: In this scenario you must fold, and you must fold this hand preflop UTG.

Conversely in the limit game, we see both that the fear of being quartered is greatly diminished and that the odds one must pay to draw to a nut hand or to draw blanks to maintain eligibility for half the pot are far better. The need for counterfeit protection is still a factor but not nearly as severe as in the big bet game.

No. Fold.

If you continue, you're risking your whole remaining stack, roughly $23, not just the amount of this bet. If you make low and don't get fractionated, you'll win half of (3.60+10.63), about $7. Plus you get your own investment back. (I don't count your own money that you get back as winnings, although the casino does).

Thus if you continue, you're risking $23 to win $7. You'll only make low about 72.1%. Thus you're a 721 to 279 favorite to make low.

But $7*.721-$23*.279=a negative number. And I haven't even figured in the chance of you getting fractionated for low. It's an unfavorable odds bet.

Fold.

Wait for an opportunity to get your money in when the odds are on your side.
