I shake some life in this thead already at this stage, is that OK? Have been working out half an hour every single day, planning to do that for the rest of my life. Guess my muscles already have been toned up a little.

How are you doing so far, maybe some trends can be spotted? Or is this really too early?

Pretty much failing all of these so far.

1) Get A's in all my classes (back to school this semester).
2) Lose weight.
3) Find a backer.
4) Win bracelet.
5) Win all the money in 75-150 again this summer.

Maybe if we sweetened the deal...

One more soul available in return for US online poker. Any others?

Goals:
1. Make enough $$ grinding in low stakes MTTs to finance goal 3
2. Make enough money in real job to avoid spending money from goal 1 on bills
3. Play in $1500 PLO8 at WSOP

Breaking the promise for the first time to day, keeping it up about 40 days. Now only future tells how it continues. Will update in March-April. Feeling a little of a flu is the excuse this time.

Massive Fail. Have invested a few thousand in the marketplace and close friends did not sell many packages. Have made money from the investments though, so it worked out.
2. Play in as many TCOOP event as possible (guessing around 10). Play in as many SCOOP and WCOOP event as possible. I'm thinking 10 SCOOP and 2 WCOOP?
Success.
Played 4 TCOOPs, 5 or 6 SCOOPs and 3 WCOOPs. Ended up final tabling the last WCOOP, so I would say that this goal was met (in terms of results).

3. Play 6k NLO8 SNGs and ONLY play during peak hours. If Hyper turbos are deployed, one hyper turbo counts as 0.5 games (i.e. would have to play 12k hypers to reach my goal).
50% success.
Played 2k reg SNGs and another 1600 hypers = 2800 total for +$4500 combined. That's what juicy or angribob makes in a month

4. Play cash games when SNGs are past peak hours. Don't have a HUD so I don't keep track of # of hands played. I should be playing within my limits though (25 NL to 200 NL and 25 PL to 100 PL as I feel like my PLO8 game isnt as great deepstacked).
Did not play more than 2k hands of cash.
5. Move up to $8 and $3.50 Rebuy 180 mans in my NLHoldem stake.
Fail
Barely played NLHoldem. Got my dad into the game though, so I still have been keeping up with some strategy. I know for sure I'll be able to beat up to $1 SNGs, as that's the highest he plays.

6. Play the Sunday Million at least twice (using my FPPs).
Fail. Played 0 times.
7. Play 5 sessions of NLHoldem cash at a live casino.
Played once during my birthday in Pittsburg. They had a 4-8 FLO8 game running, but by the time we finished dinner, the game broke. I won a few dollars from playing a $1-$2 NLHoldem game.
8. Finish Reading "Kill Everyone"
Fail. Did not read an additional page

Life Goals:
1. Avoid eating junky fast food and stick to Subway (6 inch turkey sub with double meat).
Did a pretty good job of this. Rarely ate fries and hamburgers. Also went on a white meat only diet that involved eating lots of chicken, fish and veggies. Did this for about 3 months and stopped, as it was affecting my mom's cooking abilities, as the dishes she cooks best involve pork or beef.
2. Lose 10 pounds. Currently 175.
Was down to 160 at one point from the white meat diet. Went back to my regular eating habits and am back to around 170, which isn't bad I guess.
3. Find a girlfriend, hopefully someone that has a tolerance for gambling
Success! Been with her since April. She's not very tolerant of gambling, but hasn't had a problem with it so far.
4. Watch at least eight Toronto Blue Jay home games live (81 home games).
Went to about 4 or 5, lost count. Planning on going to more this season though
5. Get my driver's license.
Success! Got it in February and have been driving several times a week
6. Eat breakfast as many days as possible.
Not a very specific goal, but have eaten breakfast about 80% of the times, which is up from my university habits of eating breakfast twice a week
7. Read 12 books (one per month)
Fail. Read less than 1 book in total
All in all, a pretty good year personally, could have been better pokerwise in terms of volume.

The fact that these goals were not all broken means they were good goals and could have been achieved given perfect planning + circumstances.

Better luck next year, I guess.

Was mostly down on poker - couldn't seem to get PLO8 game to a good level and planning on cashing out a lot of my BR and starting from the bottom when I do play. 4 and 10 PLO8 here I come (after I finish replaying FF7).
2) Cash in a live PLO8 tourney Fail. Played in a few at WSOP (including 1500 PLO8). Finished top 3rd in that and top 50% in the others, but no cashes).
3) 6bb/100 winrate for 50k+ hands Nope.
4) Get O8 session reviews to happen in the forum on a monthly basis Think I tried this 2 times and both were massive fails.
5) Start 72 strat threads (6 per month) in this forum Nope. Don't know how many I started, but not close to this. Not being able to post at work is a real detriment to my game's improvement.
6) Play fewer SNG's and MTT's Meh. Played not many after WSOP since I was focusing on cash. Now not playing much poker at all so... success?
7) Review all hands where +/- 50bb every month Fail. Haven't played much so haven't reviewed much.

Life Goals

8) Get to and maintain a weight of 185 or lower Got to 182 for WSOP, then said **** it and ate whatever I wanted after. Currently at about 208. That's right, I gained ~25 pounds in about 6 months. Just recently rededicated to getting back to 185 so can go to WSOP in 2014.
9) Successfully quit the hookah after my 2nd child is born Kid 2 due early March so this has been delayed. Don't anticipate many problems with it since my wife is going to be pretty strict on this one.
Meh. I hope 2013 is better poker-wise and health-wise.

Ah, that's why I've seen no one from your location at 20-50 in the lobby. Gl at moving up to 50 and pwning me there , otherwise it's not fun (and won't you get raped by cashout fees?). I'm pretty excited about hitting a green mod up at the tables at some point, I guess now I'll run into napsus faster if I move up to PLO100 and he starts playing on US networks or his good old ex-Entraction accounts.

Oops, sorry for not giving feedback then: I got a great review from speedycey, thanks to him again. Though a 200-hand sample is too short to draw conclusions, and full database reviews (by coaches) are more helpful, there are still some lessons a fellow player can teach in a short review. Or do you deem it a fail because of too few signups? Well, the O8 forum is not that big anyway.

Review all hands where +/- 50bb every month
Paying attention to hands with big net wins/losses only is a trap in all forms of poker, but even more so in O8, where a lot of pots are split. A common advice is to filter hands by hole cards or actions, e.g. A2 hands, 3-bet pots, wraps, etc.

Going out for a walk now
A bit late here, I know. In fact I have made a habit of hitting the gym almost every weekday, half an hour at a time. You can really feel and spot the difference! Will continue

"Real life" dominates that much at this point, so will come back to poker later.
