Spade NLO8 100 - high aces facing preflop shove

Poker Stars $0.50/$1 No Limit Omaha Hi/Lo - 6 players
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter

BTN: $113.23
SB: $97.73
BB: $38.71
UTG: $106.87
Hero (MP): $116.89
CO: $100.00

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is MP with A A K K
1 fold, Hero raises to $3, 1 fold, BTN calls $3, SB raises to $97.73 all in, BB calls $37.71 all in, Hero

(We have to fold or call all in, and BTN is still to act afterwards).

How would you estimate the equity of calling here - 50/50, slight profit, slight loss, ...?

BTN is loose and aggressive but tends to fold to preflop shoves. SB is a good aggressive regular, and he will shove fairly wide here (any strong-ish Ace-wheel-x-x hand) hoping to pick up the money that's already on the table. BB is a calling station who probably has some paint he can't lay down.

Re: NLO8 100 - high aces facing preflop shove

With the pair kings added to the aces I'll call it, I'd guess that u're slight favorite most of the time against SB and since BB has 39 u will at least win 58 off SB more often than u'll lose all 98$

If BTN is loose he calls PFRs w/o an A right? My first though were that given BTNs call SB shouldnt have AA very often here but BTN might have called with 23xx kind of hands (and more ofc).

I expect that BTN folds often though.

The above ranges is way too tight IMO, so all in all it should be slightly +EV. And given the stack sizes I would never consider a fold.

That being said AA w/o a low for stacks always feels a bit nasty.

about 8% i rekon

No, seriously you should call - you must assume button will fold when you call and you're really only concerned with beating the sb, and youre most likely in ok - good shape v his range. bb is just a side show.

Re: NLO8 100 - high aces facing preflop shove

Results - I reasoned much the same as everyone else on this thread, figuring to have around about 30-35% equity in a 3way pot, or 25-ish in a 4way pot, but:

ProPokerTools Omaha Hi/Lo Simulation
376,992 trials (Exhaustive)
Hand Pot equity Scoops Wins HiTies HiWins Lo Ties Lo
Ah As Kc Kd18.65% 30,416110,184000
Ac 6h Qh 2c34.53% 28,54686,68474751,728204,376
2s Ad Jd Tc29.66% 29,84991,2397470204,376
Kh Ks 9h 9c17.16% 41,26088,138000

Unluckily all the aces and kings were dead and I had no flush draw :|
Luckily the board ran out giving me broadway

I'm curious about which villain was BTN here and called off 30x more ... AQ62ds? Still seems bad, even if he is ahead for this particular hand. If true, then you have like 34.5% for the small pot and 46% for the main pot if he folds (assuming KK99 is shorty, and you have 52% in main pot if short doesn't have the other kings). Ofc. if you "know" what BTN folded it's less, but being psychic would make the game much easier in general
