I know it's typically L x W, but how do you calculate this equation?
you need to know the angles as well see part 5 of this article...

Last edited by cfreaks; 04-07-2010 at 05:36 PM. Reason: even if 2 sides are parallel yiu cant determine the area without knowing at least on angle

Hot or cold....or not even in the same ball park? Gives us a clue? Your thread has some deep WSOP Main event finish so if that was in 08 then maybe I am way off??
Come on dorsal:...rather than say yes or no answer hot, medium, or cold... I think it is only fair that there is a just reward for the closest answer (i.e 10% of your earnings for a month )-sounds fair to me!!

Re: More than Meets the Eye" - Dorsal Fin's Well

i'm in the Dolphin Fin camp. probably cuz saying Dorsal Fin sounds like dolphin.

i'm assuming you don't let your bankroll grow at this point and take whatever extra money you earn into a pretty low risk alternative investment. if so, what stuff do you like to look at: treasuries? ETFs?

how many buy ins you shoot for?

what's some of the tendencies you take note of on your opponents? like "calls 3 cold with TT32" or "c/r 2/3 pot on turn with btm 2 and fluh draw" ?

Cool to see a few O8 players who aren't so uptight.

Yeah, I was regular on FTP 1/2-2/4 PLO8 about two years ago and I remember both of you playing 1/2 or what not. As I recall you both were quite nittish back then. But then I quit playing there and came back about year later and you both were far more aggressive than before.
And that is the reason I wrapped you together on my mind, cause you were onlyones I noticed that had improved their game. And I think at the time nlo8 tables had been around on FTP for some time and to play more tables I joined those tables too. And soon I discovered the ugly part of nlo8, preflop shove 100bb deep with those aaxx /a2xx hands. There was one reg who always did that if got bullied by someone. When I saw this thread I didnt remember which one of you were the pain in the ass.
And that would be ImSponsored, ty. You are right about the bumhunting too, he wouldn't play against me either, especially on plo8 tables.

Whether or not you think it's funny, it doesn't belong on the Omaha-8 forum.

Here's a fair warning. I'm going to ban anyone who posts it - a 3 day band the first time and a permanent ban the second time.

You want to get banned for three days, post it once.

You want to get banned permanently, post it twice.

I go now to ban a couple of individuals.

- What's the key to playing as many tables as you do for as many hours as you do?

- Can I come with you to the top of PLO mountain?

- What do you think of my game?

Dorsal great read thus far. Keep it up.

Top 5 Regular NLO8 players on Stars (1/2+).

Do you see NLO8 growing in popularity or fairly stagnant in growth?

Who is going to win the Masters?

Top 2 toughest things in your transition from O8 to PLO?

Largest amount of cash you've ever held in your hand?

Re: More than Meets the Eye" - Dorsal Fin's Well

Great well Dorsal and your main event run description was a fascinating read.

Did you start your plo transition at 2-4 or another level?

And as a fisherman, I'll back you up that clearly dorsal fin in poker should be thought of as a shark.

wait...if you were a fisherman, wouldn't he also be a fisherman, instead of a shark. And possibly with a bigger boat

Just temporarily. 1 Day, 22 Hours left until the 3-day ban expires.

If one of my black friends (or one of my friends of any other color) might reasonably interpret or misinterpret something as racist, or a racial or ethnic slur, please don't post it on a forum I moderate. If you do, a stern warning, a 10 point penalty, and a 3-day suspension will follow, as sure as the night follows the day. (The reason for the 10 point penalty is that no record, at least that is available to me, is kept of temporary suspensions, but a record of point penalties is kept for a while, in this case 1 year).

I don't want to discuss the matter in Dorsal's well (unless he wants to discuss it here when his temporary suspension expires). It's Dorsal's well and it's an excellent well. The message, and I want it to be loud and clear to everyone, is: Keep the racist stuff off the forum, please, and that includes anybody's well.
