My brain is fried, so I'm not sure I'm making sense. I almost edited my post to include a river 5, but that still chops us with A3 (which is the odds I was trying to calculate).

Also, if the likelihood of another A3 devalues our low (and I agree it does), then it also diminishes the probability of a counterfeiting river card.
Good point that I hadn't thought of.

we make more money if SB overcalls and we get 3/4 than if we raise, SB folds, BB calls and we get 3/4...

A67, I raise, because BB might 3-bet 367 (or even bare 67 for that matter. hey, he's an holdem player )
I think you're right. A67 we raise because SB probably doesn't it's unlikely BB has a better high and low.

Sorry, yes.

On the river - I wonder if there is a chance SB might call two with a non nut hand. Its not too likely I guess. I have been turbo-raising in this spot lol.
I think raising in this spot is bad, because I think we almost always get an overcall from the SB.

Wow, never seen a more baby-ish post in my life.

Re: LO8: Swinging door

agree with raising the turn, you can easily have 10 or more outs to scoop (5TQ) and i think sb and bb would take stronger lines with a lot of A3 hands

it also doesn't make sense for you to not raise the turn on a great card for you after raising the flop

river is easy enough to play in position and your line if you raise 2 streets without a made hand can be good for your image

i also think you can raise the river, bb should probably put in another bet if he can beat the wheel so main concern is sb having a better hi - again though i think aggression in position with hands like yours lead to long-term profitability and create an image you want

Unless BB is crazy aggressive and known to try to represent wheels every time they appear, I don't see the point of raising this river. Everyone's hand looks a lot like A3 anyway (see discussion above) so it's unclear why BB would be trying to target sub-A3 hands to bluff out. Even live $10/20 players are going to have a hard time calling two bets cold so raising isn't going to give you any value.
