Hi,

I am interested in aquiring a large amount of hands (database) of limit omaha 8 hands.

I have had no success of looking for it online.

Does somebody have advice for where I could either buy or download those kinds of hand-histories?

I am interested in this data for my own analysis.

I apologize, if this is not the right forum for this question, I am just lost and dont know where to look for it anymore.

If you happen to know a way to aquire this kind data, please contact me.

1. Play a lot of hands

2. You will have a lot of hand histories

I believe that what you are asking for is frowned upon....

I agree. I think you have to do it yourself. You could use Omaha manager or other tracking software depending on where you play.

This is not exactly what you asked for, but it may help you. It's ProPokerTools objective ordering of all 16432 distinctly different Omaha-8 four-card hands for 10 handed play.

ProPokerTools also has similar lists for 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, and 2 handed play. Here's the ordering for 6-handed.

In real play, how starting hands fare is highly dependent on the various particular opponents also dealt cards. And "hand histories" reflect that. In other words, a particular starting hand can do well against one group of opponents, and not so well against another group of opponents... or against the same group of opponents, one particular player might fare better with a particular starting hand than another particular player.

If you look at discussions of hand histories posted in numerous threads in this forum, you'll see that opinions differ as to how best play a particular hand.

Anyhow, good luck to you.

I think there will be Americans who no longer play who will be willing to give you these. They might want to scrub the identities from them, or ask you to. If you don't get them here, try the Poker Theory or Probability Forums.
