Otherwise, well played post-flop.
I was mixing up my play having raised from the blinds with AA2 and AA4 earlier.
Normally I would not reraise with this hand from the blinds.

Sick, but it was on Stars where anything can happen. (I'll bet this person went into your little black book).

o8's gotta be the most juicy poker game ever created...

here is my list of the ultimate 'huge' mistakes some people make while learning the game...

1)playing trips in their starting hand...
        2)playing weak starting hands...
        3)playing mid pockets 77 88 99 10....
        4) calling all in, huge pot bets with naked low draws, and semi low draws...
5)a22 is overrated... and overplayed even by good players... only with a limp usually...
6)playing flushes on paired boards to agressive raises...
7)commiting with sets when obv they are beat
        8)acting like wombat...

there are many many more that can be added to this list...

all up, the combination of many weak attributes does not make up for the luck factor...

I'm disagreeing with AA22 as overrated. Depends on stacks/position, by ain't limpin with that. lol

Trip Aces with a decent low works for me.

Generally agree otherwise. Stick to strong hands while learning. Whether you wish to play like a Russian/Brazilian/Spaniard later is up to you, but weaker hands can be played if you know how to play (and not play) them correctly, esp. against weaker opponents.

        Got 2nd in a $2R today BTW!

was going to make a final push this weekend

finished 2nd in a $2R today... yet another comeback from the brink (my last one was the trifecta in the Belmont... first time I bet a race in over 10 years, as I know squat about horses)

Raising river is horrible, we just get eaten by higher boats which aren't folding. I don't think we get called by smaller boats enough to compensate for that.

Cool 1-2-5 BigO @ Rio - I'm learning how to play it there

Hi, I am the guy with a broken collar bone, wearing the sling. I have been NLH player for the past 7 years. I got so tired of grinding satellites in the yellow section of Pavilion, that I decided to try out sth new.

I have never seriously played O8, so I am definitely -ev against you, but with some tourists getting it in with 2nd nut flush draw no lo, I might even be +ev overall

Feel free to say hi, if you don't mind a friendly conversation.
Or just secretly exploit me, if you do :P
