What's your worst downswing at split pot games? I cruised for a year and a half with nothing really worth noting now a -250BB nightmare comes out of nowhere on me. I really felt like I would never have a downswing that bad because I thought split pot games were lower variance and I play live and the games are so good.

Yeah it was fun lol. Sat 2 on the right of Frankie O'Dell at a table, chatted him up for a while, definitely a cool dude. I finished 8th for $1450 (AA4Qds<A35T AIPF), eventually losing to that guy in between us pinhead. He was WAY ahead of 3rd place at the time and closing in on the chip leader (a man who folded to a 7k all in bet on a flop of 77Q with 60k in the pot). Overall, I'm pretty happy, having played some of my most disciplined poker in quite some time, having fun, and yes, running very well. I'll be skipping the limit events at this time, but will definitely be back for the other PLO8 rebuys, and hope to see you guys there!

Well done, maybe see you next month!

Why do the worst players end up with the most chips?

Since you guys are on the live tourney subject, is anyone going down to Foxwoods for the Foxwoods Classic or the Card Player events? Checking thru previous years it seems like they only get ~80 runners for a 10K PLO8.

Or maybe it's that most of our posters are not in the US, let alone the east coast.

lol hardly an old boys club, more of a ghost town which is reflective of the state of the games online these days. Instead of complaining, maybe post some more and lets see if we can all get this forum more traffic.

Sorry, most of the good posters only use this forum to brag and reminisce.

Some of the longer standing members may recall a staking agreement I had with long term member sangaman gone wrong where I went outside the terms and did not return the money. Records exist in the archives where i confessed all. Thread called "please dont stake me". t has been 3 or 4 years since and I am pleased to announce sangaman was paid roughly 600 dollars by me over the last few months. I was and felt obliged to repay him and I was sorry for taking so long but I never forgot about it and when I recently acquired a steady income I felt it was the right time.
I want everyone to know I am trustworthy and keep to my end of the bargain. I most likely will not need staking as I have not been playing regularly if seldom at all. But if I ever do, this post is for that time.

I do kinda think that but losing 1.8K at 0.5/1 is starting to mess with my head.

Think I haven't seen that a fishy move as SB's even at the $1.50 hypers. Makes a guy thinking about moving up.
