Who is still around that I know/knows me? Any recommendations as to what sites have decent games/any action at all? I probably won't play as much as before, but I just want to donk around a bit these days.

Yeah this, I would love to hear your story. You were successfully playing the higher limits PLO8 while in the US (if I recall correctly), then you apparently just stopped playing, and now you live in Korea. Sounds interesting.
After black friday, I decided I wanted to pursue other things. Poker was never my end game plan so I didn't want to make life decisions in a way that revolved around poker. So I went back to school for a year to get my teaching license and came to Korea to teach. I haven't played real poker (just some random home games) since BF.
However, I'm missing the money and the game now. I always wanted to teach and have poker supplement my income rather than just play poker. Now I have everything else stabilized so I am ready to start playing again. I'm not positive I will come back to PLO8 if the games are too dead, but I will certainly be splashing around a bit.
I was playing limit when you last posted. Then PL looked like way off for me. Now I'm playing NL. Like Buzz once said: looks one has a tendency to move to big bet.
Maybe PL is the right thing for you right now? Then you could use the "learnt to drive a bike" thing, you've not completely forgotten. I'm sorry to see guys like you and wackjob leaving poker after BF.
