This. Its gotta be a fold because of ICM. Now if this was early on in a rebuy period I might consider getting it in to gamble, but def not in this spot.

Re: Final table Legends PLO8 hand question

I think we can almost all agree that if either UTG or BTN fold, that we are in a pretty favorable spot to shove. With all this ICM talk I am wondering if we could actually force a fold from one or both of these guys.

Also, a consideration that no one has mentioned yet...we have a 25% stake in the one guy that can bust us, which reduces some of the tournament equity at risk in the hand. It is certainly a gamble, but I feel confident that if it goes well we will be able to take this whole thing down given the current dynamic.

Re: Final table Legends PLO8 hand question

icm probably dictates fold but I don't play enough MTTs for long term variance to balance out - so I just try to win them when I do play.

Pot from the SB imo.

No villain described will fold after putting 60k in btw.

Re: Final table Legends PLO8 hand question

Ok, so after a long tank I did decide to fold when it got back to me the second time. I did think about how my hand would play against the three others. I really felt I was against a bunch of A2xx type hands which is were I want to play a high only hand but even with that and all our M's were getting low I still thought I could find a better spot. The 25% equity in one of the players also did factor in but I believe although I would be the chip leader with a scoop or even a one HI three Low chop it was to much of a pure gamble in that spot.

As far as the hands, I was up against all the rest of the Aces. All 3 players did have A2 and the board came with three to the low on the flop so it would be a very bad spot if I was not already all in pre flop. As it ran out the board paired eights so my Kings up would have one the high and there would be a 3 way chop for low.

With me folding, no one got ousted and the all in player actually one the high so now it was really close and all six of us chopped about a round later. Unfortunately I was down to a 100k at that point so that left me with about 2.7k after the chop and a few hundred more from my 25%. Interesting spot.

Any more thought's would be great.

On another thought and sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I was wondering if there was any sites you guys know of that I can find where PLO8 tourneys are being played both locally and nationally. The picking sure look slim until next year.

Thanks again

With no suits, have to fold to that raise. Even if it's ds, I almost certainly fold in that spot. I don't even think it's a tough decision tbh.
