And the $3k PLO8 has just started! Have been excited for this as it's my first ever $3k. I have Joe Hachem, Mike Sexton, and Paul Jackson at my table. Ruh roh. This should be interesting!

Boom. Upto 16250 from 9k! Raised a turn c-bet and somehow still got 2 callers, but luckily held huge on the river, but got no callers. Turn raise was somewhat questionable, but thougt for sure cold oop guy no 3 would fold, but he didn't, and 1st guy didn't seem very strong from live read

Note to self- do not try and make donks fold top pair on high board, even when they obviously hate the run out.
Hachem bust, pretty badly. Sexton got it in semi-badly but chopped, and Paul Jackson couldn't fold his bad low when I "bluffed" river trying to get him to fold, with a full house no low. Pretty soft table actually. 11300 on 2 hour break

-And now ****ing Brandon Cantu (****u) has taken Joe Hachem's spot. Tilt.

Anyone else here in this?

Just ****ing super hero bet-folded AJQKhhdd in limped pot on 2JKss vs Paul Jackson's check raise, and he had 2/3 starting stack. He said he had a set. Let's go.

Lol Jeff.
I had a rough 4th level. Down to 7.7k from 9k starting. Couple of runner runner beats on high boards etc were not so fun. Thankfully Cantu bust, and then our table broke.
But Double boom at my new table! Double up pre with AA79s vs A21010ds, and then knock someone out with AA35s vs A237ccc, who limp-back-pot shoves pre. Upto 23500. Let's go!

Lol hand just now. I complete in the sb with J953s after 4 limpers, at 2/400. Flop is J95 rainbow, I lead for 1300, 1 call from an idiot. Turn's a 6, I bet 3000. Call. River is a K, checks. I announce and show, and without saying a word he turns over A279. The ****? Aside from the lol awful flop call, just gotta show that you didn't make your runner low?

And up to 31200, let's keep up the heater!

Got moved to a new thread then. We're only playing 8 levels today. Was up to 36k on 6 hour break, but have since doubled up the same guy pre twice. And then he managed to treble again. Pretty ****ing tilting. Should have just gone to bed at break!

what's wrong with tabling his cards in this hand? All sounds pretty standard depending on his position/stack size. flops mid pair/top kicker with bd str8 and nut low draws

Wow, ****ing brutal. Already bust on the 5th hand. AA2Q < A2310dd to bust vs ODB. Board runs out J74dd2x10x :/. Sucks.

And Billy, if you don't think that both/either of those actions are pretty ****ing stupid in that hand/spot, then I don't know what to tell you.

But you are implying he called the flop to hit runner lows when he had a279 on a j93 flop. He has middle pair and lots of backdoors. He's only a small dog v some hands you might lead with and villain will like a lot of turns with his bd draws. As I said it depends on other factors but doesn't sound too bad.

About him tabling them...i'm asking what's wrong with doing that as I really don't know as I havn't played live for years and never played live O8.

ul btw

J95 rainbow. I lead out into 4 other people for over 3bbs in a limped pot. Even if his runner backdoor low is live, he doesn't have odds, and I'm obv strong in that spot, so he's clearly drawing v thin for the high.
His turn call is fine once he gets there.
There's not necessarily anything "wrong" with him showing on the river, but when he doesn't say a word and shows, it's like a reverse slowroll, where he kind of implies that he has my hand beat. But even if there isn't anything wrong with it, why would you do it?

In case he misread his hand. Standard?

Agreed that the flop call is not good, someone donk betting into a pot with a bunch of players obviously has a big hand so you're really only calling to runner runner chop low.

I don't think him showing his cards is strange, not sure why op thinks it is.

depends how deep caller was. What position he was, and if you can include wraps in lead range which i'm guessing you could.

Yeah it's prolly not a particularly great call but possibly not terrible as hero is making out to brand him an idiot unless he had already come to that conclusion from other hands or how he was acting.

Still don't really get why shoving his cards without saying anything is that bad. It's surely possible the 'idiot' didn't know if he had won or not.

Well, I literally just explained before, and it's not standard. It may be more standard when there is a low out, but not just high and on such an obv board. He showed it in like a kind of proud way that he could have won, to make it more reverse-slowrolly. And he wasn't (at least I think) that stupid to think that he had won, esp after I announce "Jacks and nines".
And personally I've just played way too many hands of O8 so that I never show in those kind of spots. Anyway, let's get off this discussion, it's getting ****ing painful. And btw I didn't start this new thread, it got moved to make a new one.

And yes Billy, he was an obvious fish before that. E.g. limp-calling a pot-sized iso raise Utg with 221010.

Yes.

You started posting about event #54 in a thread labeled event #48.

Not a big deal IMO.

But I thought it would be better to have the label on a thread actually reflect what the thread was about... so after a few posts about event #54, I moved your posts into their own thread. (I thought your posts were interesting and event #54 deserved its own thread).

Also not a big deal IMO.

But you've mentioned the separation twice now in this new thread. It was a small thing to me before you mentioned it twice.

WTF?

(No offense was intended). I could move the posts from this thread about event #54 back into the thread about event #48 if you like, but that seems stupid to me.

Anyhow, good luck to you in event #54 and I like reading your reports.
