In May, 2014, PokerStars will be inviting two representatives from 2+2 to attend meetings with PokerStars staff and management on the Isle of Man. Various matters, some of which is confidential, will be discussed.

The Meetings have been set for May 21st, 22nd and 23rd.

“Selection of the two 2+2 user representatives will be as normal, and any 2+2 member may be considered.” (I presume that means there will be an election in the Internet Poker forum).

The goal of the meetings is for both sides to gain greater knowledge and understanding and for the poker site to improve as a result.

I think hightilldie should put himself up for nomination. I'll vote for you. You can present a slide show of all the bad beats stars gives you and do a load of stat comparisons for quantum versus the rest of the world.

Seriously one of the higher-volume OH8 players should go and represent - maybe get a better MTT schedule, tighter starts, more NL, more turbo. We also need 45, 90 and 180-player OH8 SnGs, some more 9-player cash and WAY more OH8 games in WCOOP, TCOOP, MM, etc. What about u, scruff and JJ as reps?

I'd like to see broken_jia. He shows a lot of interests and knowledge about mtt schedules and is also a sng reg so can look after those 2 areas.

Obv also need cash game player. Not sure which cash player i'd like to see up but some1 that can distance their own wants/needs and have a good understanding of what is better for the masses and for the future of the game.

If you really want to achieve something and make this more than just PR you should send somebody with a marketing background -who would also understand what is important to them-.
Especially when it comes to the rake issue that might come in handy.
Such a person could make stronger arguments that they might actually listen to.

The rake has already been addressed, and they simply neglect it.

No, it wouldn't, there would be zero tourneys added primetime CET if it is up to him, not a single one, while that should absolutely be one of his top priorities.
He argues ROW should get the same tourneys as Europe (agreed) and I don't understand why Europe shouldn't get the same tourneys as ROW just as well.

For years I have been begging for regular NLO8 tourneys primetime CET and now he proposes that ROW that already got all 4 of them should get another 2 extra, while Europe that has zero should remain at zero

I don't like it either he wants to cancel the NLC8 and has a T-Ford reasoning why he is against NLC8.

Also he is not interested in adding lower buy ins, while Omaha will eventually be killed without those. And most people actually play lower stakes, why shouldn't they get to play Omaha?

He is very honest and admits he does all his work out of self interest. If he could look at the schedule and what's best for Omaha in a broader perspective he could be a good candidate.

IMHO the MTT rep should play most of the games, at all stakes, most days. I suggested scruff bc he plays most of the higher buyin tourneys as well as things like the $2 and $5r. Also I like his attitude regarding the micro-millions and assume that stupid tourneys that take 10 hours to reach the FT while offering $25 for 9th, would be minimised. Don't believe broken is an SnG reg either in the same sense as wadzon or JJ, or even myself tbh. I think Aless, Demonic and Janiosmo would be good shouts to cover both cash games and MTTs.

Since 0/8 is a relatively small offering, and only 2 reps are chosen, I think we should be pushing for someone who may not be an exclusively 0/8 player but will take 0/8 into account. Whoever is chosen I think we need to push them to mention things such as the 0/8 tourney schedule, sng schedule, and the buy in changes to nlo8 changes and the subsequent effect on traffic.

Without a doubt +1 for broken_jia, even if it is one hell of a long journey for him lol.

I've spoken to him a fair bit and he's definitely shown a higher understanding of the problems at hand, from all sides of the argument (Regs, Sites, Recreationals), and most importantly, he actually puts in the effort to try and improve the games for us all.

I don't think you can knock jia for focusing on his main interests, personally I don't see that but we might just overlap. I think he has shown a good understanding and that he can express his thoughts well, and in a positive manner for Pokerstars too. If everything was explained to him and he had more time I imagine he would understand your side and do a good job of putting your point over. I don't think o8 will get a sole rep, we might need to team up with someone.

He perceives anything that is not in his personal interest as a thread.

For example if Europeans got their tourneys that would hurt traffic primetime ET or lower buy ins hurt traffic in higher buy ins and 5-C games hurt traffic in Omaha.

Whoever goes there should understand how synergies work and how a well balanced schedule is in the best interest of all of us. Otherwise he will not achieve anything and we will miss another opportunity.

I have known him for years and he has always been solicitous about the issues of the O8 community.

I think that if any 08 player was chosen it would be a real bonus for all of us. Having said that the person chosen should bring forward issues voted for by all users and not what they personally believe is in the best interest of the community.

After Stars' handling of the situation with the accidentally raised VPP multiplier at 10NLO8, I'm losing hope for any progress to be achieved at the meeting.

lol at people bringing it to stars attention that they are getting more vpps than they are supposed to at 10 nlo8 zoom which I have not played but assume is one of the most unfairly raked games stars offers.

it`s almost certain that GoGetaRealJob will go to the meeting.
he is a PLO player so he should have atleast a basic understanding of o8.
