Had an argument with another player while playing Mixed Games the other day...

Would you take AK77 rainbow or J934 with the J9 being suited.

One argument was AK77 has a better chance to scoop while J934 flops more winning lows and straights etc.

Who is right?

And yes we already looked at the % and Option 2 is favored unless the AK or A7 in hand 1 steals the flush options from the J9 or hand 2.

To open the button with? To defend your BB with? Calling all in? etc

But then I'd probably just open fold all 3 in the SB .

1. if 2 hands were laid out face up on a table, AK77 and Jx9x43 and you had to choose to pick one to playout against the other, in a single hand of 08, which would you choose?

2. if you were in the sb and you were choosing to open/steal, would you prefer to do it with AK77 or Jx9x43? (details concerning the game and the bb might factor in)

3. which hand over a large sample of hands(situations) would you think is most profitable?

i kinda wonder which question the respondents have been answering

I like J943 I feel like this hand gets more flops that we are happy with than Ak77

If I get to choose one of the two hands to open in sb vs bb, I take AK77.

Id say 1,3,2 in that order of importance when we thought about it
