Arrow 3/6 NLO8 flopped underboat

Villain is a mediocre reg who plays 33 14 9 AF 1.7. He floats a ton on the flop with random garbage. On the turn when he calls it really throws me off because I expect him to either fold or raise both with bluffs as well as for value. I rarely have seen this player call on turns against me unless he is drawing.

Thoughts on playing river?

Re: July miscellaneous thread

UnnaturalPoker's hand probably deserves its own thread

I would play it like PLO hi and check turn and river . As played, probably make a blocker bet on the river, to get value from trips. If opponent is clever enough to bluff-raise you when you make a blocker bet though, then check/call.

chk/callin is the worst option

you lose value from too many hands when villain chcks behind and most villains are going to bet big tryin to get more value from hands that beat u.

i prefer betting around 40 - 55/insta fold

Per Kittens' suggestion, I made a new thread for this hand.

I would bet bigger on the flop and after someone who loves to float calls me I would most likely go for check raise all in because we are pretty short.

Re: 3/6 NLO8 flopped underboat

let's assume villain limped a hand between 5-45% (he would have raised better, folded worse)

How often do(es)
PLAYER_2 match hand range TT, T7, T4, JT, JJ?

8.8%

How often do(es)
PLAYER_2 match hand range T, JJ?
16.99%

so if villain has a ten in his hand he has roughly a 50/50 chance of having a boat

without knowing villain's bluffing frequency or likely sizing it is hard to know what is most profitably

that being said, since this is a limped pot, villain should be aware that the majority of our hands will be value bets and not bluff, i do not think he will try to bluff you without a T

he will also bluff you more frequently if he thinks you could be betting a straight here, but i am guessing he does not for the same reason i don't think he has 89** very often

i also do not think there are a lot of 89 hands he can limp profitably in this game, so i would not expect a lot of those combinations or for him to even call the flop with it

bet/folding less than 1/2 pot is probably the way to go
