Arrow 2012 WSOP Accommodations

The 1.5K PLO8 event #47 is 4.5 months away, June 26. I'm playing in it 100%! Wanted to start this thread to see if any O8 grinders/players wanna shack up for at least the time period which includes the 1.5K and the 3K PLO8 (#58, July 3rd) events... I'll carry 100% of my own action for the 1.5, and probably will try to sell at least a half of the 3K. W/ a 100+ ROI over a decent sample size on Merge in PLO8 MTTS shouldn't be too difficult...

Re: 2012 WSOP Accommodations

Sched kinda sucks for me. PLO8 before ME and July 4. I am coming for ME like 6th or 7th but I will be there the first 2 weeks-ish for the 1500 LO8 as well as the PLO 1.5k and 3k.

Also, I tend to buy a lot of pieces in marketplace during series so make sure you mark packages as PLO8 or PLO8 included. I prefer to buy mixed game action rather than a ton of nlhe players

Who are u on merge?

Re: 2012 WSOP Accommodations

Gold Coast right now has $39 rooms for Jun 25-29th... and 70 bowling lanes for O8 bowling tournament!

Anyone have any horror stories about staying at Gold Coast?

I might be coming for the 1500, but won't know until mid or late May for sure. Will prob look to sell 50% of my action or so. I'll post more when it's more definitive.

I stayed there for a few nights last year. Not bad actually. Ask to get in the remodeled rooms. Only thing annoying was that there was not a safe in my room so if you are carrying a lot of cash/chips/etc. can't really leave it in the room.

Carrying a lot of cash won't be an issue for me sadly!

I'm prolly gonna stay at Vdara - playing a number of events, including $5k FLO8 and both PLO8. Staking thread is up in the MP.

Re: 2012 WSOP Accommodations

Yes, this year I am definitely coming out to Vegas for the 1500 PLO8... unless I don't make it

Anyone down for a late night bowling session one night of the tournament?

Will have to stuff a couple of bowling balls into my luggage.

Yeah, what's the deal w/ GC? Is it decent? I am a Vegas Noob, but $39/night during WSOP is kinda cheap, no?

guess I wasn't too clear, is GC a POS? In other words, you get what you pay for?

No see my post above. Really was surprisingly nice compared to what I expected. THe casino itself is pretty gross but the rooms (at least the rehabbed rooms) weren't bad at all. Given the price and the location it works.

And I am a total travel/hotel snob.
