Yea, I stayed up past my bedtime to place in that freeroll Sunday, I'm pretty sure I'm the only one on the list who plays O/8 so u guys could figure it out who I am...

I have little clue how to win/last in that cage thing, played twice before and busted out fairly early so I'm gonna need all the luck/help I can get playing against Leatherass and all the other NL killas....Any tips appreciated.

I don't know what "the cage" is.

Is this it?:

"The Cage is a multi-table time-based cash game with a $500+25 buy-in. The tournament ends as soon as the clock hits 4 hours of play, regardless of how many players are left standing."
If so, is Omaha-8 played? Or is it just Texas hold 'em? And is it limit, pot-limit, or no-limit?

Hi Buzz, America's cardroom (online site) awards you a free entry into a satellite (worth $55) if you play enough during the week to merit it. The satellite runs Sunday night. If you then can finish in the top 18 of this satellite, you are awarded a free entry int The Cage. The Cage is a tournament style event but the chips are counted as real money, so at the end of 5 hours, if you last, whatever your stack is you keep as real money. It is played tournament style, so the blinds increase every 50 min. You start with $1000, with 5 and 10 blinds.

Unfortunately, it is only NL Hold em

To add to this, with this tournament style the blinds do not go up, only the antes for the 5 hour period. It's basically a cash game that you have to play for the full time. I haven't played it but it looks like it usually gets between 20-30 and about 7-8 end up with cash left when it's done.

Could you just sit out and last until the end?

No, the blinds will eat you up, plus they penalize you for slow play.

No, the blinds do go up. The link will give you the full structure.

My apologies, I had heard differently. I'd like to play it sometime. I'd probably try to satty in.

Most efficient way to get in the satty free is playing the on-demands during happy hours. The $15+1.50 plo8 give 3.90 snc points, 7.80 during happy hours. About 30 of those at 7.80 will get you the 200-230 points needed for the satty ticket + an extra $50 cash. You also still get your normal rakeback on top of this. All for about $45 in rake lol. But that's all during happy hours only, so consider it best case scenario. Even worst case it's only $90 rake lol. Oh and they are re-entry too, so the actual number of games will likely be lower.

For those will a lower BR or if you just want less variance, the $7 plo8 work just as well...you just need to put in more volume though. I'm playing both of them while writing this currently lol

Was there always a $44 NLO8 in the mornings (9:45 AM EST)? That seems new.

Also pretty epic that there is a $109 NLO8 on Sundays with a $10k gtd. Really sucks that Bovada got rid of their $55 Sunday NLO8 tho.

Nope, I asked the TD and he delivered He's a fairly nice guy and he has/had a bit of experience playing o8 on pokerstars. The 44 was part of a morning schedule revamp and also something for the euros. The 109 was sort of a compromise since he couldn't yet give us a true sunday special $215 like they do for PLO. If this one does well, I'm almost certain he will give us a 215 on sunday with a nice GTD and maybe move the 109 to saturday.

I'd personally love for a big 9-max plo8 event on sunday, my only minor complaint would be he runs too much 6-max plo8 and 9-max nlo8 for the higher buyins, which it should probably be mostly 6-max nlo8 and 9-max plo8. He's also wanting to try out 8-max nlo8 more, which actually sounds kinda fun to try maybe. And of course the on-demand buy-ins don't go high enough Would be nice to have 30s and maybe even 60s.

If you have any suggestions send them his way or post in the 2017 mtt schedule feedback thread he stickied.

Good stuff, man! I PMed him a bit to get the $27.50 PLO8 changed to NLO8. It's been rough at times cancelling and overlaying, but seems to be doing better lately. Really appreciate them giving it time and not reducing the guarantee/removing the tournament like Pokerstars might have done.

Just posted a couple of suggestions. I think in general the daily O8 schedule is still lacking in quantity. It needs to be similar to Bovada's current schedule.

I totally agree we need a lot more daily $5-50 o8 nl/pl and maybe even a few fl mtts. I try to get the 27.50 going when I can, since it fits in kinda well with the late happy hour.

We may have a new contender, though this is still in its infancy. With that said, may it partially fill the hole in your heart left by the loss of the crown jewel of o8 threads. RIP OMBlog2k16

Lets try to get o8 added for this, it could be pretty fun

Failure to make your opinion/support heard there can and likely will result in a temporary loss of your right to whine, complain, and generally berate the site (including all the skins dammit) in any way for an indefinite amount of time :P
