what if the hand is (a2)k9?
elkrus (MP1): 2,910 (9.7 bb)
Juicy_J_93 (MP2): 7,757 (25.9 bb)
mandspoker40 (MP3): 5,273 (17.6 bb)
valetudinari (CO): 1,620 (5.4 bb)
torscotr06 (BTN): 1,878 (6.3 bb)
ironOne (SB): 2,535 (8.5 bb)
Hero (BB): 5,027 (16.8 bb)
looking at the players on the table i see 4 names that jump right into my eye (billy, jucy, torscotr and ironone). 2 of them are pretty short.
if you do not stop jucy, he will get bigger and bigger and apply more and more pressure towards all stacks (he actually already is doing that). fold equity is very high in that state of the game with so many shortstacks.
ofc a call can make you go bust and jucy is surely sailing to a nice 1st or 2nd place.
on the other side, a split pot in that situation could make him realise, that he can get in an awfull situation if he gets scooped, that he cant just roll over the table because there sits billy, who doesnt like to get pushed around and doesnt mind a gamble for the real big stack.
scooping the hand would totally turn around the situation and give billy the chance to steal blinds, hardcore exploit the bubble and post bubble situation.
what im trying to say is that getting rid of regs doesnt show in the icm calculations afaik.
broken_jia´s point of view is ofc a reasonable and good one. but that guy just shoved the 4th time in a very short amount of time if i get it right. im not saying it is a fistpump call or i would call 100%(maybe not even 50% of the time) but at some point you have to fight back. you r gonna see the guy for the rest of your session all over the tables. make him respect/hate you.
howlingmoon started to really get angry at me when i started to mess up our equity in the tourneys in the hope of getting him tighten up vs me or just getting him of the table because he was hell of a good player and winning against him was a coinflip at best for me.
then again considering my roi i might be all wrong...
