on the bubble with villain in question having a big stack in the SB its a clear all in pre flop as hes very likely to come over the top of a 2-3x raise with any semi playable hand.

if he was in the BB id limp rather than shove as he likes to make over calls with 23xx low hands quite often..

while he may not admit it chances are wazdon misread the situation by thinking his allin would induce a fold when it was obvious by heroes pf sizing he wasnt going anywhere.

i wouldnt blame wazdon for making a -ev allin as hes just playing his game...id blame myself for not going allin pf but yeah ul

Does anyone else get bubbled in these things constantly? I probably tighten up too much near the money when I should loosen up, but even so I am wondering if this is pretty standard in an 18-man that pays 4 spots...

With these stack sizes, CO should be playing tighter than a fish's ****hole

hallo everybody,
i usually grind 2-tables of 8-game, but sometimes there is just 1 running and i have to play a game beside.
other times i just dont feel like concentrating on 2 tables mixed-games
and want more tables and quicker action as a break from my serious grind.
i have one important question:
what average buy-in size (nlo8 18man) would be appropriate (conservatively) for a 1300$ roll ?

email Stars the tourney IDs and they'll most likely give you a refund on most of the tournaments which you did not cash in as they considered you a "valued customer".

I had the same problem about a month ago. I emailed them, I havent sent tourney IDs or anything just wrote simply that my internet connection has broken in the middle of the session and asked them if they would be so kind to refund some money. They replyed that the problem has been at my internet suplier not in their system, none the less they refunded the full amount of buyins (because of a "valued customer" thing as broken_jia wrote).

What is up with all the Eastern Europeans in these who will call all-ins at 10-20 with any 4 cards? Mind boggling. My AA2 got 3bet and snapped off by T777 the other day lol... Needless to say, a 7 fell on the flop.

Lol wow. Ouch. One guy yesterday announced at the start that he would be going all in pre-flop every hand. He proceeded to donate me his chips. Fishy stuff going on here...

I think it's people who don't understand omaha - nevermind O8 at at all (yet). At these stakes and a bit higher there's bound to be complete omaha novices, maybe some who have joined accidentally. I had a similar situation a few days ago where the bettor held 999x, the only way that the betting made sense was if the bettor thought they had trips..in their hand.

maaaan I cannot stop finishing between 5th and 7th in these things. Absolutely driving me crazy. It doesn't matter if I enter the final table as the chip leader or the short stack, I still lose, and usually to someone calling my AA-low-low with KKxx.

Yup.

KK has been the new AA for too long now.

Was doing a pretty huge HH review of my 18 mans and I think my early game is pretty shocking. Unless someone spews off their chips to me I'm usually blinding down to 1k by around 50/100.

Regs, what do you suggest, get active in the early stages or nit it up to push/fold ?

Play tighter. I am folding some trashy A2s and A3s oop and against raises.

I tend to play a lot of hands early and I have done well early in these as far as picking up chips. That being said Its possible that I would be better off playing tighter preflop early on but it just hurts to bad for me to fold for 30 chips

Does anyone have any stats on brutalizer in 18 mans?
I only have SS and hes blocked on there. I know hes gotten a lot of sht about his play on here but Im actually of the imo that he plays fairly well and I would be surprised if his roi was less than 10 which is impressive considering his overall volume.

I usually do this too. Try to be very selective in large pots, but early on you can see a lot of flops for cheap. You can also outpoker people a little in the early stages. Eventually these seem to just become shovefests, but at the beginning I think some more clever plays are possible.

Just checked it for you on ppl.

The last 180 days he played 3.9k o8 SnG's and is up around 3.3k. Overall he played 23k o8 SnG's and is down 1k (obv because of higher Buyins.)
