Hi guys as there's a scoop thread up im sure most people saw how good the schedule is this year including alot of 08 events,

Im not sure how i feel about the zoom especially at $2k buyin level but i really think the ante up needs to go and maybe be a psko. Obviously i'm biased as thats what i'm more EV in but i'll probably be playing all of them regardless.

It's also great luke posted those figures showing how popular NLO8 is and hope this encourages more in the future.

I do try and lobby for more o8 MTT's in general and we have had some success i believe i contributed to 888 adding more too albeit only a rebuy and the $55.

Just wondered if you guys would take the time to post in these and help grow the game.

The Pokerstars thread is much more active as is 888 in listening party is just meh.

I've been trying to get another hyper psko and i do know of some changes coming in the future that is good for us but the schedule is really bad in some spots especially mornings uk time after omania 16.50 with no mid/hs options bar the $33 bowl/sng

Just wondered what kind of changes people think need to be made in general and then maybe we can ask for them.

As for the 08 one if you see my post there is a tentative 10 day series coming which will have no 08 mtt, and this is more why i made this so can people please ask for an 08 to be included.

Aw man, I didn't see that it was a Zoom event til now :/. Yeah that kind of sucks, I'm not sure why they would choose to make it that. It's just almost never played as Zoom. Imo it's also kind of a shame that the Mixed Omaha is Zoom as well.

However, I think that ante up is a good format. It's interesting, requires some intelligence, some out-of-the-box thinking, and lots of people play it terribly.

Though I would like just a regular vanilla NLO8 mtt. With no gimmick or re-entry, which unfortunately the schedule doesn't have.
I think I would rather make the 27/200/2k Zoom regular, as I think the ante up is a fun/profitable format, especially as it's only 8/80/700, and the re-entry event can be lucrative.

I think that NLO8 hyper PSKO is a horrible format. I'm not sure why you would want more of them(?). It's just a massive rake trap. You are basically forced to just get it in infinitely often. Even with some people playing them poorly, the edge is just very small.

The hyper 82 pko is one of the most profitable MTT's on the schedule for regs and ROI in it should be big enough rake doesn't matter.

Yes i do want a Vanilla NLO8 but i do think the zoom format is the better option of the two. Ante up is not really offered so i haven't played much of it but in regards to zoom at least you will get more hands v recs.

I like the push to get some more O8 going on 888, but I have serious concerns about depositing there. Every time I log in something seems to be different, or one part of the software does not work. Also, I could have sworn there were some low-stakes omaha SnGs, but I am not seeing them now. Are they gone?

With regard to SCOOP, do you guys think Zoom and Ante-up formats would attract large fields? I can see how the more savvy players would have a nice edge in these, but the concern is whether lots of recs will try them. NLO8 is still a relatively foreign game for a lot of people, and they might not want to jump into a new variant if they have not had a chance to play it a few times first. Since the regular MTT schedule has 1 ante-up and 0 Zoom (maybe I am missing one), my guess is most people have not.

zoom is anti omaha hi strategy which I play the preferred strategy which is to play lots of hands and outplay...
whereas the strategy of zoom is more to wait for big hands... where zoom is a game of time, one can not justify playing every hand...

Idk, as you're getting more hands quicker, people tend to be more patient and thus nitty. It sounds highly exploitable IMO.

It's annoying they play so late, it's ok if you play the milly but sometimes its hard for people to grind them when the 215 nlo8 starts what 5 hours earlier or something? wish they'd be moved another couple hours earlier.

I'm ok with zoom, edge should be bigger obviously since more hands/h.

Ante up though, it definitely has to go imo. My read is that it will attract less fish and, since it's such a new thing, for O8 at least, it will surely be a lot harder to multi-table since so many unknown spots that require deep thinking will arise all the time.

Believe its now zoom and pko ante up was changed.
