Little bit of Background... I have been floating on the shortstack for basically whole tournament been playing pretty nitty, but just showed a big bluff and had a scene with an older gentleman who liked to chime in on hands he was not involved in..

(I complete with JJ97 after Button limps, BB who had just one big bet behind checks, Q93 rainbow flop gets checked around and I lead on the K turn(putting heart flush draw out there, Big Blind tanks and older dude who had been trying to influence action all day starts urging him to call so I berate old dude for getting involved... finally Big Blind tank folds what he claims was a weak King, and button folds and I show the Bluff...)

we are sitting on 26k with 32 out of 188 with 24 paying, $529 for min cash and $14,500 up top.. average stack right around 48K with 3K/6K Blinds, so it is go time for us...

folds to us in Hi jack and we open to 6K with QQ63 (anyone folding this)

Loose Agressive Small Blind sitting on 65K calls and we go 2 to a flop of AJ4 he check calls.. Turn comes the 6 which goes check check...... river comes the 10 and he leads..... we tank... can we call for half with Blockers and hope Villian is on low?

any thoughts or critiques on previous streets appreciated as well.

As played, probably just fold since the lone pair of Q's is likely no good and we got no chance at lo. Probably would've folded pre too, or if not I'd raise pre instead of just limping and maintain a very aggro line postflop.

Limit o8 tourneys are tough and can be a bit annoying tbh, there's that small window where the blinds are finally high enough to become meaningful and you pretty much gotta run good then or the whole day is a waste. WSOP circuit events are always limit and usually not worth making the trip unless you really, really love limit o8 mtts. I feel bad for the rec players whos first experience with o8 is trying one of those tourneys, I can see why most of them stick with holdem and the occasional PLO event. And yeah, the grouchy old guys don't help make things any better either

First of all, fold pre. It's a fold pre normally, and ESPECIALLY in your stack situation. If you had a lot of chips and could abuse other people's ICMs...then you can open.
Flop and turn are good.

River seems tough, but has to be a fold. Your thinking regarding "blockers" is mistaken. While QQ blocks KQ, that's not what you should be worried about. 8 players were dealt in. You and one other person saw the flop. You don't have an ace. The likelihood of his having one is quite high. OTOH, your 3 actually functions to block the hands that you're hoping he has. Pot isn't too big, so I would just fold.

I'd raise from the btn and maybe from co depending on table dynamics but from the hj with hero stack size think folding is by far the best option

As played checkback the flop, villain is never folding, folding the river also pretty easily as we get scooped way more often than we win half

Idk about suits but seems like JJ97 is a reasonable complete in the sb with some connectedness and the pair of course as a high only hand getting such a good price.

If QQ63 is a fold, what are the worst low cards you'd open with in the hijack? QQ53 with 2 wheel cards? QQ42? or do you really need an ace to make this playable?

When you say 3k/6k blinds, did you mean 3k/6k small bet/big bet? Limping this hand seems to make the least amount of sense of any decision you could make in the HJ if that is what you did. But I read your OP as having raised the hand since why would you say "open to 6k" if what you did was limp?

Yes sorry if I was unclear... it was $1500/3k blinds and 3k/6k limits and I raised to 6k to open
