If we think villain has KK in his 3-bet range pre (which is probably right for villain described; but A233 should hammer away like this, too), then I'm in the camp of check/calling the river. Monikrazy, if we lead the river, do we really think we may get raised by worse?

Villain is much less likely to have 2p become a boat with the 7 then k or 3 and will check back many hands that might call 1b like ak or aa, even diamonds

Betting is more about getting max value from those hands and even though calling a raise doesn't feel great general its better against a baddish lag (given stats), pot is also fairly large so we need a lot of confidence we are beaten to fold

I guess it boils down to the turn, and why I did not bet what was a pretty good turn card. I figured maybe I need a low river before I start to jam. I was just relieved to improve on the river either way honestly. But if I check river he can check behind with whatever it is he has, and I want to get paid for all this, lol.
