Don't know...But he's one of the many that never requested my "heads up plz"
pleas, but nobody on stars really does.

Many regulars have emailed stars support to add heads up only tables.
Therefore they prefer to leave once the game exceeds 2 players.
So they dont share your same perspective in building a game as you
(some hu players sit in 10 handed empty tables too).

While you got me started, Id like to nominate 17chips as the single
most annoying player in the stars LO8. He's so ridiculous at
hit-n-running its downright comical. 5 hands and out every
time he wins a pot, no matter how small.

I see.

The thing is, I'm not going to knowingly play an extended HU match against a HU specialist. I don't see where that's +EV. I'm willing to sit first at a 9 or 10 handed table to get a game going, but I'm not going to give someone action to try to start a game if the other guy is just going to blow it up anyway when it suits him.

I am actually comfortable in any size of game. I see an edge in exploiting the changing game conditions as a game goes from 3 to 5 to 9 handed, and then back down again. Most don't adjust.

Some of you complain about how there aren't enough open tables. This is one reason why.

I really wish poker stras would give people who start games a bonus. Like extra vpp's or something. It would definitely get more games going.

you don't think it would get abused? I'm sure they thought about it and believe it would be misused or to just not be worth it.

UB used to do this (unknown if they still do), it was like +1/2 point for the first player & +1/4 point for the 2nd. Even .1 VPP's would be nice, seeing as how we're getting games going for them to make more rake.

Then again, I don't get a bonus & start games now. Do they really have much incentive?

Sites should do it for games that dont go very regularly. Similiar to
FT's "Happy Hour" if they just displayed a little happy face or something.

For example, UB/AP used to have a regular 10-20 and 15-30 LO8 before
letting go a bunch of their props...Now it hardly ever goes. Why
not give near 100% rakeback to the first two players to start it?
Your basically turning them into props, but its a win-win for everyone.

UB used to do that. Was a great incentive. I think you received 2x as long as you sat at that table.

Oops. Hadn't read otherresponses to this. Sorry.

haha between UB's sng madness in 04 and all those reloads I had like $6K in bonus by mid 05. I'd start 4 $1/$2 lhe games and clear like $300 a day. the good ole days

also, people would "start games" and sit out until full.

I am not this guy because Stars sucks, but I used to do this because I want to play Hu or play up to 4-handed, especially in Omaha where I am a fish in 6max/FR.

I notice that the games usually fill up fast, so I would start over. I decided that I'll never get enough 4handed to matter, so I learn to bide my time at a Hu table.

This focker 17chips did that to me just yesterday! I remembered that something had been written about him in this thread but before I had time to come back to this thread he won the first pot and ran away.

This thread has escalated to the point where I can help. Fabbs is a Toronto raptors fan & lives near Toronto very nice guy when winning not so much when losing.
He plays a ton of hands and is a losing player but still dangerous.
17 chips is a funny guy. The key with 17 is to get him stuck & you can say whAtever you want about him, he's a talented player period. I kno you will not believe me but 17 owns the 75-150 game and plays as high as 200-400 lhe on stars. I have no idea why he does the hut n run thing but I believe it's more of a superstitios thing than a quick money thing because 3-6 & 5-10 is like pennies on his bankroll.
Hope this helped somehow, I play stars 135 hrs a month FTP 100 hrs a month I think I know every online reg in world.
Siderenko is beat on both sites period, gave him up.

Agree with you on Fabbs..although hes usually losing thus always
got something to say..I blocked his chat a long time ago.

17Chips Ive only seen play up to 30-60 LO8, maybe ive just missed his
75-150 appearances.

My theory as to why he hit-n-runs, is he plays a obvious exploitable
strategy, which people catch on to after 20-30 hands or so...
Hell never hit-n-run when he gets stuck though,
and if you pay close attention when he loses he is constantly
rebuying small amounts to make it look like hes still
even. Hes a much better 2-3 handed player, but has some leaks that start
to hurt more at 6 max. I doubt he wins much when you put 1-2 good player
in a 6 max game, although he appears to be a winner at 10-20/15-30.
(I have him -1.33 BB/100 over 4k sample size)

He gave me some problems a few months ago, because I was basically
playing him on auto-pilot which just kills you when hes playing
so outside the box..Then I really paid attention to him and I dont really
see him as a threat anymore.

there's a huge thread about rakebackpros giving rb to existing ftp accounts in the affiliates/rakeback forum that should give you all the info you need. i just emailed ftp and rakebackpros and confirmed my account wasn't linked to an affiliate, and asked if there was any way i could get rakeback on my account. ~2 weeks later and rakebackpros sent me an email telling me i was signed up. i guess some people have been waiting for months though so YMMV.

The weekend was very lol, I got it in behind in NLO8 MTTs few times because of many people calling...apparently AA5Js only has 17% 4way in some scenarios

For the PL/NL50 games, I don't know how I got through this entire thread and mindster (FT) wasn't mentioned once.

Also, I find it funny that some posters think some players mentioned ITT, who have something like at least 3bb/100 or higher over a significant sample (a number of hands of which I still don't know), are not good. Who is "good" and "sucks" is all relatively opinionated BS.

The only real indicator of level of pwnage for any limit is bb/100 over a significant sampe of hands (again, I don't know what this number is, but it'd be nice if we could agree upon a number...like 10K? 50k?).

Lastly, on the lam (Stars) is a huge dbag at the tables, but definitely wins solid IMO (relatively opinionated BS, I know). He once claimed he's made 90K since 01/01/08. Not sure if it's all rakeback, profit from only online O8, or some combo, but I believe him.

So all that said, who's raping O8 nl/pl25, 50, and 100 for the highest bb/100s?
