I had him on my table in the daily $55 the whole way yesterday. He played 08 like a typical good nlhe player which are some of my favorite people to play against. They see o8 as so beatable because of such low levels of aggression without fully understanding the dynamics of the game.

He mostly didn't fold pre and over valued his high hand bad low. He (also like a good typical nlhe player) made good use of aggression although this bordered on spewy occasionally. For example he opened ak78 and called my 3 bet for 16 bigs ( I had akj2). He also made some fundamental errors like chasing high only hands on low boards (tjqk on 8953 board). He made moves that were worse than this but these are just some that I remember. He built and lost a good few big stacks before I got busted in 8th position.

Great to see a pro who will be a reg in the hi/lo games but I would not categorize him as one of the best o8 players at all and think he has a lot to learn in this game.

Agreed. Frankly I couldn't believe some of the things I was seeing (lines taken or outcomes achieved) on several tables. Almost made me wonder whether that lil badge was allowing him to pawn solid supernova regs - he just kept hitting single pins for the nuts when he had strong starting hands and fading everything when he had mediocrity.

I've played many hands with him and I think he sucks at o8, asked a couple of my friends that are regs too if I'm biased as he put a couple of beats on me but they basically all agree that he's a fish. He might be good at Nlhe but yeah that's about it.

submission is a total embarassment to the omaha hi low community... as a regular o8 player he wishes cancer on persons and their family, which means he must hate his life, people in poker, his neighbours, people he doesnt like he wish they are dead....
Submission is scum and worse than that on slum dog millionare in the poo scene...

he acts like a serial killer... there is a chance he would sniper you off, or carry out a stabbing in the RIO car park...

Shimbunshi has been opensitting a lot of 30/60$ limit on FTP and I was surprised bc I had a fishy note on him. He's definitely got the fancy play syndrome in some spots and a balanced strategy can pick him off his bad plays in O8.

So I guess we can learn that a strong NLH player is beating O8 without knowing that much about it.

vandir did play lots in the 100/200 and 200/400 5card 08 games last year. pbb he lost a bunch there and i heard from some others that he did play 100k highrollers @ept stops.
