Anyhow to become world champion, I think you have to win the two O8 contests in the world series of poker, like Hero Value did. Well... winning just one of them and you could lay a claim to being world champion... but winning both of them cinches it.

Do that (win just one of them) and I'll recognize you as a world champion.

Toolbox ran golden as usual in a low buyin 5 card o8 non championship event in the WCOOP series on pokerstars.

Stars named the series World Championship of online poker and is the biggest series of all online sites. And was recognized as such but now a bunch of countries cannot so it's not anymore but still the largest online series.

I can imagine he'll be going around his town with a WCOOP cap telling everyone he can that he's a poker world champion.

Heh Billy, but did you not know winning a WCOOP donkament does not make you a world class player? Have you not been paying attention? OMB does not rate winning two WSOP donkament bracelets so why would this be any different?

Bike....it's pretty ****ing logical that it can no longer be classed as an online world championship when most of the large playing countries cannot play on .com.

Come on Lotus. I know you might feel aggrieved at the jibes but you cannot seriously argue that the overall play in this hand is worthy of 10/20. This is .25/.50 level on Stars. It doesn't mean to say you are this standard, so I don't know why you take it so personally. Bike may behave like a knob almost 100 percent of the time but the content of what he says is usually correct. You also forget that the best on Stars are European and cannot play on your networks.

It's true about games on Stars. If we play before BF we can sit at any 9 seat table and at least 1-3 players are playing so bad it's a joke. Today there aren't any terrible players dropping $thousands/month and even in low stakes there are only 50 real idiots in a field of 500. In 2010 there were 350 idiots. All the eastern euro pro grinders are sweating low-mid stakes and playing like their lives depend on it because in many cases it does. So the average euro trash is better than the average american in o8 for sure. The games have moved on so far and the USA hasn't been a part of it

Not to say American players are bad it's more like what u said - there is higher disposable income in rich countries and so many more recs and terrible players in mid-stakes games in USA.

You can be American, smart and a good poker player, don't worry

i agree, in theory it is possible

in theory they could be thin, multi-lingual, carbon neutral and have a balanced view on immigration, but let's keep it realistic

in practice there are hundreds if not thousands of times more good players in the USA than the Netherlands

Much of the reason the games seem so tough on stars is their formats are geared to generate as much rake as possible and their player pool has far more players who can comfortably grind relatively small stakes for a living in their area. And you're wrong, there are still terrible players dropping money on stars but regs won't see much of it because of the rake changes and formats. Also losing a lot of your more wealthy countries isn't helping.

But if you put the best eu players against ours, honestly you won't find much of a difference. Even for the average players, there isn't much of a difference other than the stakes they play mainly. Gather up enough money, and we may find out one day. Until then, being insulting and condescending just makes you look bad.

You keep saying the players are so great, but why aren't they crushing when they come over to US sites? Even Hunmatt got wrecked when he tried and hes one of the guys you say plays massive volume every day and would crush here.

Not to mention, like almost half the ppl at the tables lately are RoW and not US. We still got guys like bedias and many others in our mtts.

Got wrecked at what games? Humatt is a low stakes HT and SNG solid TAG player on stars. I doubt he came onto the US sites and started going nuts on all kinds of games and I doubt anyone wrecked him at the games he usually plays ha.

Euros cannot play on Bovada/Bodog so I guess you are talking about ACR yes? ACR MTT's are soft as **** although they don't have much on there which is a shame.

I've played some recently and i did notice that there are a decent % number of ROW players from various places. Saw countries like Italy that can't play on dot com. And pretty much everyone of them were terrible so even if there are a couple of decent US players at the table there are these ROW donkeys which adds to them being soft.
