is it technically correct to bet, even though i could be totally freerolled or dead to a chop?

should my tournament situation affect whether or not i bet?

Good question. I would still bet. Maybe he calls A3 and a bad low. On safe river you can bet and maybe he folds weak low.

That's a pretty easy bet. HU spot your top 2 is more than likely the best high hand right now, and re: low, given the board, villain could be drawing to a live card. You're very deep in your tournament with 25 BB, while villain is sitting at 10 BB which imo is the cusp of chip conservation in a limit tournament.

I don't think it is a bad bet. If you checked, what was your plan on the river, check call? By raising you are hopefully getting rid of a bad low hand so you don't split the pot with the scenario I just used.

Standard turn bet. You need to protect your hand/not give him a chance to bluff you out on many bad rivers.

Thought it worth asking because the book says don't put any money in freerolled.

Or at least it alludes to that.

Isn't really just villain dependent? Meaning if you know the villain will call with any low and doesn't like folding don't bet. However, if villain is a TAG, you should bet. I am not sure just wondering.

With these three low cards, it seems like there is a decent chance Villain is counterfeited and doesn't have a low yet; a bet is fine to charge these hands to draw, as well as possibly fold out really bad made lows with little other equity.
