FL O8 tournament question FL O8 tournament question

Hello all-

I haven't posted in quite a while but I have been getting back into playing poker lately and wanted to run a question by anyone willing to answer.

I have been working on my HORSE skills for an upcoming tournament. I have been playing the daily LO8 torunies on ignition to get some hands under my belt. I guess Im wondering if/how different tournaments play than cash when it comes to o8.

For instance, assuming middle or later levels of the tournament where stacks start to shallow out a bit should I be raising more to isolate a single limper or raiser? If I hold something like AsKsJd3c would it be beneficial to raise a single limper or 3bet an open from early position? middle? late? Or is it just outright poor play? Any insight is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

What has been your experience on ignition? Do those players play tighter than cash players?

My guess would be not.

If the tourney plays looser, then don't waste chips trying to make them fold, FLO8 will give them reasons to call. I would just have a better starting hand, and try to keep each street a single bet until I have something worth raising. Its a tourney, so play less value check-raises, and "just" check calling when you are out of position but have good odds to call seems prudent against weaker fields of loose players. In position, bet if checked to unless you just hate the flop.
