Very aggressive 40/80 game. It's been a while and I never even really had a 40/80 education. Flame away

Aggro CO opens, I 3bet the SB with A4Q3

Aggro BB calls 2 cold, CO calls, 3 to the flop

A76

I bet, BB raises, CO folds, I call

Turn: 2

Check or bet? I feel like he will have a ton of 23/24 type hands and some like A6/7 type hands that will check back.

I would probably just lead this turn. Although check-raise is also ok

I'd xr as default but against strong players leading probably is a bet better, they checkback a lot and a 3rd bet going in isn't great for hero

The guy is going to be betting turn whatever he liked enough to raise you with on the flop.

You said "aggro" OP so expect a bet!

For example if he has 23xx he should probably keep betting it. If he has A6/A7/set if he has any clue he probably would not have raised on the flop with that.

Most likely he has some sort of low and either flush or straight draws on the flop, figuring you've got the top set /counterfeited A2xx and that he is freerolling.

Small chance he has low+flush so could be getting freerolled. But still, probably not.

Lead, very hard for your opponent to figure out if you're going high, low, or both, giving you the maximum opportunity for your opponent to make a mistake. You have a lot of fold equity against something like a two-pair (or set) counterfeit low who gives you credit for spades over 34. x/r takes all the deception out, makes your opponent think you have a lock on one end, and that end is probably 34 and not the spades, and your opponent will likely play correctly against you.

You are drawing for a high so check, that is if he has no flush, if you lead and he raises ? No , bb maybe had a 2, and will fold, and even if he had a set and cc AA you are still only low and better with everone in the pot.

What are you talking about? The pot is heads up. And to say you are "drawing" for a high is pretty optimistic when you just have one pair and there is a flush on the board.

I would just bet out. I think your fold equity against a high hand is pretty small here, but this maximizes it. A check raise will just make the villain feel pot-stuck.

I'm confused by the "everyone in the pot". The pot is heads up. And to say you are "drawing" for a high is pretty optimistic when you just have one pair and there is a flush on the board.

Where would one find a 40/80 LO8 game anyway?

I mean with your nut low you still have a chance for high because if you dont you must fold because of heis possible scooping hands which leave you quartered. For high you have enough to continue otherwise folding, as for myself I do not become passive because of the flush on board, agression is mis interpreted sometime on the fourms here you have to blast people off the map not get lucky.

Somehow I meant to edit my post from several days ago and accidentally duplicated it.

But none of your posts ever make any sense. I have no idea what you are suggesting OP do in this hand, or any of your reasoning, or if you even understand the action in the hand.

You 3 bet with a red hand it is black quit, you check he bets with the high, or he bets with a good scoop hand you are ****ed, but why does an agrro in your mind need any double suited hand to cold call which being a borderline play may mean a borderline hand. Learn to correctly category these oppents, because error here will end up giving you a big hurt.

I have played at many venues on the west coast except Hollywood park due to negative feed back from other players in regards to safety, can you or others who are familiar with it elaborate more on this issue?
Thank you

It's not in a great part of town, but I have never felt unsafe on the premises, including the parking lot. Most likely it should be even more likely to be safe now after the recent renovations and such. I don't play there often though, as I don't live in the area.

I am a female player who used to play the 40-80 Omaha at HP everyday and still do occasionally. I have never felt unsafe because I use the valet which has always been free to the 40-80 players. They have recently remodeled the casino so I'm not sure if it is free any longer, but it's worth a few dollars.

The 40-80 game is almost always great.

Thank you,
It looks like I'm adding one more stop to include HP next time I'm in CA and Vegas
