Not sure why I decided to play this hand. IMO a poor decision but I suppose the hand has some nut potential and I do have the button.

Flop: ($0.85) 5 K Q (3 players)
BB bets $0.81, UTG calls $0.81, Hero calls $0.81

Maybe he has a bigger set so I don't think it's a good idea to raise.

Turn: ($3.28) Q (3 players)
BB checks, UTG bets $3.14, Hero folds, BB folds

BB looks to be giving up, but looks like the Q helped UTG, who minimum has three queens and a lot of outs and may have me drawing to 1 out if he has KQ. So I folded, feeling very sheepish.

I think I should fold pre but generally felt I played the hand very weak after the flop and not sure it was warranted. Suggestions as to alternative and superior line?

I'm calling this on the button with no raise. On the flop I often just pot it. No low draw, and you block 2 outs for anyone with a bigger set (harder to hit their boat if you make your flush, which adds a few percentage points to your equity). Shorthanded you can't be too nitty like you should be in full ring Big O. And of course you could very easily be ahead right now.

But it depends on how aggro opponents are playing. Calling is probably best against tight players. As played, I fold the turn.

Pre I'm not limping here but it's not horrible to do so. Flop is a call, and betting non paired boards/non-straight draw outs ott and folding to a bet.

I think limping pre is fine, post-flop wp.
