Hi,

has anyone an academic grade or has business experience and read this book and can verify/disagree with the things stated in this book, AND can say how it effects us poker players?

I read it to the 30ish page, and until now it only covers the territorial behavior of different cultures. I just want to know if its worthwhile to read on

thank you

There is no book called "Body Language & Poker" by Allan Pease.

There is a book called "Body Language" by Allan Pease though, do you mean that one? As far as I know it has nothing to do with poker, it's just a general book on body language (never read it though).

How would you have found your way to this book in relation to poker? Gee, if I search for "Body Language & Poker", am I going to find a bunch of torrent results, because that's what a torrent uploader decided to name it? I wonder.

I was wondering the same thing as that is what I got for hits. I also checked Pease's website without seeing the book.

Ah, probably just a name-error from my publisher (got it from 'somewhere')

I read through it and from what I see its mainly useful for 'offtable', but lots of pictures and to me better then Navarros book (the FBI agent). For 'ontable' it's rather useless because you don't care much if the guys you are plaing with like anyone or not, but one keytell is in there, the blow of a cigarette, so all in all a useful book, even though detecting lies, which is basically what I tried to find in it is a coinflip.

I can say, from an unexperienced point of view that it's a nice book and provides good advices for jobs or other places where you have to set up a good deal-making circumstance.

So even in Poker you could use those informations (rather in a homegame).

I think i buy this one, just to honor the author.
