How effective are these books for pot limit and nl hold'em?

I'm talking about Small Stakes Hold'em by Sklansky, Miller, and Malmuth. And Hold'em Poker for advanced players by Sklansky and Malmuth.
Also, how much does the whole calculating pot odds, implied odds, etc. differ depending on whether you play fixed limit, pot limit, or no limit. I'd imagine they'd differ a lot? I'm reading through Small Stakes Hold'em and realize that I have ambitions of playing pot limit and no limit. Thanks!

they may help with some of the basic concepts but do not brush on nl or pl, pot odds dont change from game to game implied odds do.

THey are invaluable for learning concepts, and applying them.
Also, sshe is basically THE bible for anything to do with sshe. The advanced book is also good as well.
Main difference is that you are much more scared of getting raised in nl than in limit
