Do i deserve a second chance? Do i deserve a second chance?

CLIFFS

1) Op (sir_ Achil) cheated at Poker Stars (collusion). Poker Stars has caught him. He was banned.

2) OP played honestly at Full Tilt for three years.

3) OP is now banned from Full Tilt too.

4) OP wants to be unbanned from Stars. He sent emails to Stars in broken english.

5) Poker Stars says: You should wait three years since your ban before we may grant you the authorization to play again.

6) OP thinks he DESERVES the right to play because he made apologies, because he didn't cheat while playing on Full Tilt, because he is a winning player,
because he denounced other cheaters, because if he is not allowed to play, he can cheat again playing under the name of his girlfriend and finally because he sent ten emails to Poker Stars.

7) OP wants our help to put pressure on Stars.

8) In this thread, the majority of posters think his arguments are weak and his attitude is inappropriate. The posters think he does not deserve a second chance. The majority believe Poker Stars has acted correctly.

9) According to Sharkscope, OP still seems capable of playing at Full Tilt.

10) This story is not updated because OP participated in this discussion for the last time in May.

It is certainly not perfect but it's my summary of the thread.

Don't they say once a cheat always a cheat .
11-16-2013 , 02:45 PM
the problem is we don't want to play against someone that cheated before. Its hard enough to win at poker as it is. If they let you come back then all the other players that cheated can come back. Thats ridiculous. You cheated and got caught there is 2nd chance. If you didn't get caught you would of kept cheating with your friends cheating people out of their money.Start over on another site and thats your 2nd chance.

I must say that I share the same opinion.

I have no desire to play against all the old cheats.

I was quoting Cavallo Italiano:

Do explain...

i'm amazed no one has realized this (or posted it). OP posted 5-1-2013. May 1st. not January 5th. so playing in mid April is consistent.

as far as everyone saying he deserves a 2nd chance and comparing him to people in jail. GFY. how many of you want to live down the block from a child molester? or a rapist? or a convicted murderer? great neighbors to let your kids go run around outside with. awesome.

he had his chance, he was nieve and stupid. then when begging for forgiveness he was arrogant and amazingly unrepentant (dude, seriously telling them you could cheat more?!? wtf!!!) they are a company, not a country, he has no rights, they owe him nothing.

hope you're having fun grinding on a 2nd tier sites...

in the end he just didn't get banned from FullTilt, and, imho, rightfully so

You knew right from wrong and chose wrong. I have to wonder what you would be doing had you not been found out. Suck it up, you make your bed now lie in it.

You easily qualify as a Lock pro. Forget Stars, talk to Lock.
12-09-2013 , 04:27 PM
No sympathy. I did nothing and can't play on Stars/Tilt due to restrictions other people want to force on me. You can't play because of your own actions. Be happy you live in a country where the opportunity still exists and reflect on why you chose the path you did.

Nope, you give poker a bad name and don't respect the game enough to be a part of it. I'd give you another chance in like ten years.

The question is never if a cheater deserves a second chance. Sometimes they do but it's irrelevant. The question is whether the decent and honest players should be expected to accept the risk of your second chance. And quite frankly Pokerstars are completely right in deciding that they don't think their users should have to accept such a risk.

FWIW, I think being young we don't understand what a true and sincere apology is. Often, young people often apologize in a tone that says, "Well, even though its not really my fault and even though you are being unfair, I'm going to say that I'm sorry ..."

A real apology has the tone, "I messed up, I learned from my mistake, I humbly beg your forgiveness...". Also, at no time should you ever indicate that its the other side that is being unreasonable or unfair or is at fault.

LOL You are right. I have not checked. I quoted Cavallo Italiano without checking.

I am without sin, and I cast the first stone. Never colluded, never cheated, never angled.

Doesn't mean just playing poker. Means: you never made a mistake?
