Man, I love you guys. I got into this forum for the comedy, because the comedy of politics is so much more fun than the tragedy. And let's be frank, Santorum is both high tragedy and high comedy (this statement is true for many if not most of all three of liberals, conservatives, and libertarians). You guys are doing well delivering the comedy here.

Watch for " Santorum Democrats " trying to tip Michigan to him tomorrow just to cause problems in the GOP race

While this would be awesome, I'm thinking that I agree with Nate, that R. Money is a solid favorite at this point, and that a 2:1 favorite is pessimistic on R. Money's chances. I just don't see the motivation of rando Democrats showing up and voting at a greater clip than Republican R. Money supporters.

This would have been exciting a week ago, but Santorumentum has run out. He was doing a good job keeping his religious craziness in check, but then he shot himself in the foot by wandering into issues like contraception, abortion, pron. Now he's gone birther-crazy with all this talk about "fake theology" and how college education is a form of snobbery.

Plus, I'm all out of "Santorum surging from behind" jokes.

I dunno, man. Sometimes the frothy mix churns just below the surface waiting to discharge out into the lead at the last possible moment spoiling his opponents in the face of victory.

Gotta believe this one is going to be tight.

Is there any point in distinguishing between campaign spending and PAC/total spending? If I'm reading the figures right the Romney camp outspent Frothy 20:1 for airtime at $824k vs. $41k in Michigan but this becomes 2:1 when combined with Super PACs at about 4M to 2M. Rmoney pumped a million into this last week but I think most of Frothy's PAC money was probably spent in the last week or so as well.

If Ricks real first name is Richard, shouldn't his nickname be Dick. Dick Santorum.

If Santorum wins the nom, the "Fight the Smears" site will take on extra meaning.
