2014 Boils Toward Warmest Year Ever with Three More Records Broken

Quote:
Even if it's freezing in your personal universe, Earth as a whole just broke three "warmest" records and is likely to see 2014 go down as the warmest since record keeping began in 1880, scientists reported Thursday.
lol negs as usual.

Lmfao. "What warming? There's still snow in winter!" You're right negs, why do people study for years to become climatologists with fancy degrees and book-learnin' when all they have to do is look outside in winter and see snow. I suppose global warming predicts no more snow or cold winters, and global climate systems can't be more complex than, "snow is cold, cold is opposite of warm".

Ah yes, always nice to see global warming refuted, annually, coincidentally at the exact time of the first heavy snowfall.

C'mon, out of all the things Canseco has said, that seems reasonable lol

How did negs finally catch a ban?

"Muslims in the West side with terrorists and don't assimilate" is just one quote from a longer hateful post.

in this thread, LASJayhawk tries his amateur hand at science. Fun, isn't it!

The simplest answer to the question is propaganda. A few powerful people have agendas and a lot of money. Those people feed their agendas (and money) to elected officials. The elected officials take up their causes and feed rhetoric to the masses. Masses are more gullible than individuals and believe what's being fed to them. Eventually, they're willing to believe there is a higher chance that there is a conspiracy among scientists, than their rhetoric being untrue. It's pretty powerful.

This happens all the time and not just with global warming. See Iraq invasion, religion, and a host of other things.
