It's amazing how ******ed our country is to have this guy as the frontrunner....unreal.

Isn't Herman Cain now the new Clarence Thompson? Thompson still won though, so maybe Cain can win too.

but.. you seem so concerned about disparagement, how about the fact that those women must have broken the anti-disclosure statements. Pretty sure if he goes down they will owe him all that money back, right?
Other than it not necessarily being true that they did, the fact remains that suing someone you got sued by for sexual harassment while running for president doesnt sell well. He never comes out of it looking good and even if he sues one or both after dropping out they will just pay him off with tell all stories if its bad or just generally be covered by donations.

Its basically in the public interest for them to come forward, they have all the public sympathy on their side.

Clarence won a supreme court nomination...apples and oranges imo.

Well I have to give the man props: he's actually a pretty good singer.
10-31-2011 , 08:39 PM
Why didn't Cain try out for X-Factor? He's better than Leroy.

Our president was a freshman senator with zero executive experience. Unreal.

+1

once Americans elected a guy so obviously completely unqualified and unprepared to be President, the idea of pointing out any moronic behavior of Americans is redundant.

Also, Boa automatic logic error did not disappoint. I'm running a logic course Mondays and Wednesdays at Occupy Portland at noon, I have based the course around your posts. Come on down and join us!

yeah, he was such an abject failure in all his efforts before he got to live in a Whitehouse. What a waste to put that loser on all the currency, buildings, and such
10-31-2011 , 10:20 PM
You only make yourself look silly when you pretend that Lincoln was not adequately prepared to be President.

I only wish that Obama were prepared, for the sake of our country I wish he was.

I am intrigued by your ideas and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

Results-oriented history, Boa. Lincoln had, what, one or two terms as a US representative and then lost a highly-publicized Senate race? He spent a bunch of time as a lawyer. Not sure how you think he was highly qualified to be president except for what he did during the Presidency, and it's no surprise that much of the country (a group that surely would have included yourself) did not think he was qualified.

You know what he could do, though. Give speeches.

So the only difference is that Lincoln was a good President?
10-31-2011 , 11:08 PM
Seriously. Every day Cain says something utterly ******ed. He then either claims he didn't say it, or ignores it, or claims someone is trying to make him look bad.

An f'ing ELECTRIC FENCE. (Oh, that was a joke. Nobody could have thought I was being serious...).

I dunno, our Godfather's pizza at our mall (not sure if it's part of the chain lol) was terribad. Wikipedia claims 622 franchise locations. Franchise fees are not all that high... no way they had total revenues over a billion dollars (and those are 2011 figures, he quit in 1996). Remember, Cain's group bought the company for 100 million dollars total.

3 million is a pretty good sum for anyone in the resterant business, CEO or no.
10-31-2011 , 11:09 PM
lol, Lincoln getting elected pissed off so many people it started a damn war.

when was this decided? was it during his presidency, or was it after his assassination, or was it some years after that?
10-31-2011 , 11:19 PM
You are missing a lot.

Even as lawyers these two men are very different. One was a law employee, one had to run his own practice (with a partner) gaining real world business experience.

And there are many more qualitative differences, consider doing your research instead of just assuming that time holding this or that office is what determines your experience. Consider executive experience, and entrepreneurial experience too.

Obama has been a follower all his life, not so Lincoln. It makes a huge difference when you get to the Presidency, as we have most recently seen demonstrated to our horror.

Wow Cain has good voice and can sing

It's more amazing that there isn't one politician who wouldn't be laughed out of public debate in any other civilized country among the "runners".

**** it, I'm going full cain. If you're going to go ******, might as well go full ******.... oh wait.
