The one thing about Newt's premise, that private enterprise can move into space exploration, conveniently overlooks the USA, and its need to crush any other entity that might want to launch missiles. Virgin can skirt the issue because he's chosen to use airframes for his joy ride.

I mean I think it would cool if we went to the moon again or went to Mars but we would learn so little and it would be such a epic waste of $$$ along with the fact that the fail rate would be very high. Compare that to sending a **** ton of probes to Mercury, the Sun, Mars, Venus, Jupiter, the Keiper belt, Uranus etc etc...we'd gain a millions times more knowledge and understanding about the Universe and ourselves.

but most people are dumb so they are gonna vote for sending people half way to Mars before they are killed.

I think converting and baptizing people, after they are dead, and against their will, while they were alive, is sick.

If the Catholic Church was converting people to Catholicism against their will in 1960, I think it would be legitimate to say that JFK belongs to a sick religion.

I have no problem saying that the Catholic Church was sick during the Inquisition.

Anytime you do something against someone's will it is sick. The cover of religion does not cure that sickness.

Those in the 1.5% can tell, and that's a whole bunch of people (millions). And they have friends and family who talk to their friends and their family. It can easily sway an election.

I guess the best defense against this is to just ignore and deflect the attack. Instead of doing something about you and your religion baptizing dead people against their will you get your supporters to say something irrelevant about JFK and the klan.

I still don't really know what JFK and the klan have to do with anything but if Kennedy did something similar I don't think it's wrong to call him and his religion out on it. So I guess I'm a klansman, or something.
