When I enlisted, at MEPS (military entrance processing station, or somesuch) we all had to sign a gazillion documents. Two of them stuck in my mind. The first said, essentially, "I understand that I won't be asked if I'm a homosexual, but if found to be living a homosexual lifestyle or engaging in homosexual acts, I will be discharged from the Air Force." The other said "I understand that by enlisting in the military, I am also registering with the Selective Service System to be potentially drafted." I thought that one was funny.

Factor out the refugees, old, infirm, obese, schizo, cowardly, and ambitious asskissers, and how big of a live free or die core do we have? I have friends who are pessimistic enough that after a few EMPs and shut down fast food rests, the white flag will go up.
