However grampy may have been forgetting about the **** ton he was making on his mileage allowance.
Walking route ldo. Gramps would never sit on his *** all day, he was a working man! Quote to my father when he took an office job "Only place you get callouses is the bottom of your ass and the tips of your fingers"
Rough sounding dude but he was a legitimate orphan in the great depression and was raised by nuns (who also liked to smack people). He was the youngest of 9 kids and the ONLY survivor of a tuberculosis epidemic. He was poor but he sent his 4 kids to private school.

Still searching for what welfare paid in 1965. You'd think that would be the easy one, but no.
Funny story - based on all the archeological evidence - the Philistines were actually a sea-faring people who traded with lots of other civilizations and were much more advanced in their pottery, architecture, etc. than their blood rivals - the Israelites. The Israelites lived in the hills and didn't have nearly as much contact with other groups. But one group went on to write the bible, and the rest is literally history.
The Philistines may have been Greeks who were very sophisticated and understood religious propaganda to such a degree that the leaders of the area had reason to fear their power, thus they demonized them. There are a few descriptions in the bible that lend themselves to the notion that these people were Indo-European, as well as the stretching of the etymology of the name with the Greek word "philos" etc....

They heard enough people tell them to get a job hippie...and they did.
The reality is most of the protesters are what you call "rent a protester" they show up for everything from Olympic issues to occupy to critical mass to "insert protest here". Most of society doesn't believe what these folks protested for as it made no sense once you looked at it and after the main stream media started to report they quickley realized this.
This Monday marks the one year anniversary of Occupy. We shall attempt to surround the NYSE. We shall march on a road of bones. They who whisper in dark corners late at night and conspired against the people, and conspired, all those busy little bees. They shall watch as we bathe in their blood. I want blasphemy, murder, rape, revolution... anything bad or good, but strong.
They discovered when the liberal mayors started kicking them out, that it is not corporations that are the problem, but Obama and the government. Corporations are people and they provided the tents, food, water, and everything else. While the government just ruined their lives like the scum they are. If you want a better life, then end government power, and the means to do that is cut their taxes and end the fed so they can't spend.
Seemed to me like the cops cracked down and added restrictions on where and when protestors could gonna protest and the protesters didn't do a god damn thing about it because McDonalds is evil and #ban capitalism!
Occupy served to create a lot of dialogue that just wasn't there beforehand. The question is whether the super fragmented nature of the occupiers will lead to real change or fizzle out. I think the movement needs to realize that it does have to work within the system to promote change. Just the simple act of going out and registering "the 99%" to vote and making sure they do vote will enact some change on the system that will favor the 99%. Occupiers need to get involved in voting, registering people to vote, participating in community politics, forums, town halls, voting in primaries, getting involved in recall and referendum efforts, educating people on voting ID laws.
Basically they need to get organized and get real like the Tea Party.
Also those simple but powerful images like the kids getting pepper sprayed while peacefully sitting on the ground have been burned into the heads of every young person in this country. It is going to cause even more young people to question the War on Drugs and other such foolishness and in a few years when we take power we can enact positive change because the political will will be there.
