I'm not really understanding it
If Labour had won every single Scottish seat they would still only be on 300ish.

They're having a very, very bad night, and not just in Scotland.

The BBC had two snp voters who were delighted and mentioned Cameron etc and how they have got themselves a progressive party. My question is Cameron will have power so why are they happy?

Have you guys elected a new king yet or wtf?

I'm watching it on CSPAN which is carrying ITV, w/e that is.

Just the names of the places has me confused beyond description. I did just hear "labor gains" in Berdmondsey or some such place so there is that.

I heard today that the polling place was at the pub in this one locale. Is that true? Pretty sweet.

There's that Alex Salmond guy again. Guess he's back. I thought he quit and would disappear.

Meh, scratch what I said before and dig those Gibson movies back outta the rubbish.

There's waaaay too much Scotland in this election, hopefully we can shaft them later by giving them more fiscal autonomy.

I'm gathering information. I want to be up on the latest goings on for the speech I'm planning the next time I'm in Hyde Park.

Turkeys voting for Christmas.

Considering the widespread ignorance about the EU in the UK (especially the ridiculous fallacy of unrestricted immigration), a referendum would (will?) be a horrendous result.

There is hope for Europe, but the Tories don't have anything to do with it. Pretty sure Phillll votes Tory. lol

certainly a more productive direction than labour

Dear Unions, well done putting in Ed Milliband instead of his brother David. How is that working out for you

Social Democratic & Labour Party - 99k votes - 3 seats
UKIP - 3.7m votes - 1 seat

WTF?

Big time, man. Totally agree. I've been saying for ages that the snp need a rebranding without the albatross of nationalism and to stand for seats across the whole country.

Exactly. Indicative of the fact that some people should stfu unless they do their homework. You're one of them.

What exactly is 'ominous' about it?

You get your ideas from the media. You are a sheep.

Sturgeon spoke really well on the BBC earlier, made it clear that this election was not about independence, that the SNP would honour their pledge not to infer support for another referendum from this election result and implied it's likely to be a part of the Scotland 2016 election manifesto.

Does the UK have write-ins? A simple yes or no will do and not all this UK-speak about elections that nobody outside the UK has a chance of understanding.

So more Cameron or something worse (more austere) or better (less austere)?

And so now all of Scotland voted for SNP? Is that what I read somewhere? Y'all need to throw those Gibson movies in the "rubbish".

And my advice to the losers: next time, see if you can deflate the ballots a little. Gives you a better grip when penciling in your choice.
Can we have a racist ban for this absolute **** nugget?

This is serious stuff.
You may mock, but the SNP is a people's movement, and real honest people have been elected to parliament all over Scotland. It just kinda proves your ignorance and stupidity in your approach to politics in general that you posted the above.

Seriously? You clearly haven't taken any ****in notice whatsoever of what has been going on in Scotland for the last 3 or 4 years.

We really can't overplay how important the EU referendum, scheduled for 2017 will be in another Scottish referendum. Voting to leave would be a fantastic opportunity for the SNP to jump for another Scottish one, and I wouldn't be surprised if they held their horses, which will also look better as it would mean the next referendum would be about 10 years after the last one.

Piss off. Cleggmania was a thing. There were many stories about how much better the Lib Dems were doing blah blah blah. Sorry I'm not sorry Ed Milliband, Ed Balls, and that hag who sits beside them didn't come through for you.

Who could have predicted such a thing?!?
