Yeah, it's pretty bad that a suspect for whom there is actual probable cause of having committed a crime is subject to less thorough screening than a family of four trying to go visit grandma.

The brother of a friend of mine had this experience not long after 9/11.

Security Dude: "I'm going to have to confiscate these nail clippers."

Brother: "Why?"

Security Dude: "You could take control of the plane."

Brother: "I'm the pilot. I fully intend to take control of the plane."

Security Dude: "I'm going to have to confiscate these nail clippers."

Can we all agree that the airport is in fact the worst place in the world?

Oh trust me, I know how open minded this site is. /sarcasm

That's mighty big of the TSA. Here's the deal on pilots... if they are "terrorists", they don't have to "smuggle" anything on board... because they're in full control of the weapon - THEY'RE FLYING IT.

But keep thinking DHS and TSA has our best interests in mind if it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside... tards ITT

A DMV in the city is worse. More lines, more unsurliness... no bookstores or snackbars.

My last trip to the DMV wasn't bad. Airport is total AIDS. And I don't even mind if they touch my junk or see me naked on their scanner. Whatever.

Re: The TSA - Fondling your junk, for safety

there should be an option to go into a room and just drop your pants

i'd prefer that to being scanned or groped if I had to choose

Atta boy, good patriot. Do what they tell you and don't ever question authority... cause they only answer they'll give is "WHY? BECAUSE WE SAID SO, THAT'S WHY."

It's also quite telling that taso thought an analogous situation would be applying what Olbermann and Maddow said to me, as if I applied what Hannity and Malkin said to him, when of course I wasn't talking about taso at all, and he hadn't even posted the thread when I was responding to tom. There's this bizarre level of self-absorption going on. I mean taso is basically looking to be personally offended here. He's actively seeking it out, despite multiple assurances I'm not talking about him. Like he saw my posts about how Malkin and Hannity are clowns and believe stupid things, and how the right wing hoi polloi bathe themselves in this rhetoric and buy it hook-line-and-sinker, and he showed up to note that I'll get my comeuppance when taso criticizes me for what Olbermann says. Kind of strange.
This is an unsurprisingly stupid post. I am not identifying myself with the conservatives in this country, nor am I defending the conservatives. I was criticizing YOUR post for being garbage. Your criticism of conservatives based on the comments of a few conservatives was stupid. Now, you shouldn't complain when people criticize liberals based on the comments of a few liberals, that's all I'm saying. It has nothing to do with me, and everything to do with your particular brand of posting, which is nothing more than weak criticisms of groups based on weak evidence and the usual nit-picking crap.

TSO saying "heads up, got a cutie for you"
Last week, one of my flying partners (Captain with Skywest) was going through security at DEN with his 18 year daughter. As his daughter approached the detector, the TSO working the NoS said on his headset, "heads up, got a cutie for you." He then confronted the TSA clerk with what he said and that neither of us are going through the NoS. The TSA clerk said you must have misunderstood me.

He said pat-down was pretty evasive, and his daughter felt uncomfortable.
This was posted Saturday. Wasn't there a time where SSSS on your boarding pass was what sent you down the secondary lane. This pick and choose by the mongoloids is pretty bad.

Is this relevant to this thread's interests?
