To be clear, it seems like a terrible policy to use these things for a variety of reasons (that you've stated and that I agree with). My thought process is just more "as a traveler who disagrees with this, is my level of outrage/concern enough to make me not just shut up and take it and get the hell out of an airport?" and for me personally this doesn't make me rise up to the point where I won't suck it up an deal next Tuesday.

They are doing this all wrong.

The security threat is that an individual or group would either blow up a plane with a bomb or take it over using weapons.

The task is to prevent this from happening.

Common sence would suggest:

Use trained dogs and the machines they have to detect and remove any exposives before they get on the plane.

Everyone goes through a metal detector.

Get rid of all the hot little flight attendants (the old ugly ones to), and only hire men capable of kicking butt for these positions.

Have a protocol for arming pilots (and the attendants). They can be issued arms that only fire by spicific fingerprint (and or tasers of course).

That will do it. 9/11 would have never happened. No need to see or feel your genitals.

I'm no homophobe, but I think I would be more comfortable with a woman with her hand in my crotch than some greasy male TSA moran.

You are going at this the wrong way. 21st century dude.

Bomb detecting machines and/or dogs. People can carry whatever they want on the plane including pocketknives, prescription drugs, unloaded guns and basically everything but its locked away in your bag - you wont need any of it due to the two options you have.

Flying coach is now when they drug you to unconsciousness like at the dentists. First class is when they strap you into upright gurneys like Hannibal Lector. Bathroom breaks are done at the business end of a shotgun.

You can triple the number of people per flight when packing in the coach passengers tight enough so the cost per ticket should drop too

The TSA is now (as has been posted) looking into to fining him for 11k for leaving the screening area without being screened, even though they asked him to leave and thats apparently on the video— so good luck with that tsa
