Crunk and Louisiana hot sauce. You'd probably be alright without the crunk.

"Her father, Bill Dowdle, who owns a sporting goods store, told the Daily News that his daughter dating a black man may not be his “preference” because of “issues” involved with biracial dating in the South, but that it is not his place to pick who she dates now that she is 18."

Translation: I don't want my girl dating negros, so I'll use "social hardship" as an excuse because I'm afraid of being called a racist.

It's one thing to say that stuff in casual conversation, but it's telling that when asked about hating interracial dating he makes a point to talk about "just how hard it is on those brave folks dabbling in the dark arts of miscegenation". The girl is exploiting her situation for easy cash, but her dad is also a cocksmoke.

You guys were closer (Trump +5.1%) in Georgia than Ohio (Trump +8.1%), and exit polling 18-29 there was Clinton +30, and +7 30-44. GA will flip some point soon. And your Governor seems reasonable for an R; I believe he veto'ed one of those "religious freedom" laws as well as some pro-gun legislation in the last year, no?

He's a standard Republican crony. Didn't accept the Medicaid expansion, is trying to destroy public education, etc.

NYT: Man Kicked J.F.K. Airport Worker Wearing Hijab, Prosecutor Says

Quote:
A Massachusetts man was charged with hate crimes after he threatened an airline worker at Kennedy International Airport who was wearing a head scarf, kicked her and told her “Trump is here now” and “he will get rid of all of you,” officials said on Thursday.
Quote:
Mr. Rhodes went to her office door and asked if she was sleeping and, according to the statement, said: “Are you praying? What are you doing?” He then punched the door, which hit the back of her chair. He threatened Ms. Khan and kicked her in the right leg, according to the statement. She moved to a corner of the office but he kicked the door, stepped into the office and blocked her from leaving.

When another person tried to calm him, he moved away from the door and Ms. Khan ran to the front desk of the lounge, according to the statement. Mr. Rhodes followed her, got on his knees and began to bow down in imitation of a Muslim praying and shouted expletives about Islam and ISIS, the prosecutor’s office said.

In an apparent reference to Muslims, he said, according to the prosecutor’s office: “You can ask Germany, Belgium and France about these kind of people. You will see what happens.”

The prosecutor’s office said that when he was arrested, Mr. Rhodes told the police: “I guess I am going to jail for disorderly conduct. I couldn’t tell if it was a man or woman because their back was to me and they had something covering their head.”

Yeah, that was the problem. Would have been super ok had she been a man.

smh. I'm going to go to open houses/community events if I see any happening at a mosque.

It's almost always a woman. These people, and people generally, are cowards. Women get yelled at by strangers way way more often than men - traffic situations, parking lot, w/e.

Yeah I kinda want to quit my jobs and go on a year-long road trip anyway. If **** starts going down at mosques or Trump starts rounding up Muslims I'm going to be there on the front lines acting as a human shield or w/e they need.

Honestly, it's better (though maybe harder?) just to write it off and emigrate rather than sacrifice yourself pointlessly,

the way to survive in trump's america is simple: imagine what you would do if you lived in nazi germany in 1933, and do that.

Having children I leave. Not having children I go Liev Schreiber in Defiance.

There must be many single people in America who feel just as strongly about this but have no reason to live, eg they have a terminal disease, and are probably considering what to do.

This is kinda my spot. Single, no kids, parents are in good health and financially stable. My job is nothing so important that one of hundreds of people couldn't be hired to replace me. My city seems like it is going to be a hotbed of (un)civil disobedience, especially wrt sanctuary cities.

I've been spending a lot of time since the election debating under what circumstances I would take some really life-risking actions. I haven't come up with great answers yet. Frankly, I'm still in a bit of disbelief that I even have to consider these questions. But I think the only chance of being prepared to act if the need arises is to have considered the question in advance.

My plan is to continue being a straight white guy who's too old and nearsighted to be drafted as a StormTrumper.

Join the winning team. Buy some property in Argentina as a backup in case things don't work out.

I'm still surprised the only person in the world that thought Trump needed to be stopped was some kid from the UK
