Trump is absolutely and beyond any shadow of a doubt incapable of navigating international diplomacy and talking to foreign leaders. This was one of my biggest issues in the election. There is zero chance trump has any understanding of issues related to Pakistan or more importantly India and Pakistan.

This will play out over and over with trump during his tenure. Diplomacy is a complicated and nuanced dance which absolutely will not tolerate the antics that made him president.

But people think Clinton might cause a world war.

I imagine it matters a lot where you live. In Australia anyway, I've heard language openly used in country pubs that would get you thrown out and possibly punched in the major cities.

Id guess its the same here. Problem is some of people claiming racism is dead are form the rural areas so they should hear and see it.

Hey, we had it right on Trump; I believe NYC overall was something like 78-20 against him. Go bash Macomb (MI) and Luzerne (PA) Counties for putting him in office.

Assuming you were talking about the Queens guy ranting from the white SUV, he's an obvious outlier. In four of the five boroughs, Trump is reviled.

I'm such a sucker for Hollywood, I thought underneath the tough "big city" exterior, New Yorkers were supposed to be salt-of-the-earth sweethearts.

It's not that this stuff isn't true, or scary. It's that it creates an avatar of the other side which is the distilled worst of the worst - and I was about as deep into as you can get until the election.

This is the video that was posted here and really opened my eyes to the fact that not only is my family in a bubble, but so am I.



Here's my long-winded "blog post" about it. The initiative is going pretty well so far. My Mom and I are having good conversations which are getting more and more frequent. If we have some kind of breakthrough I will try to publish my methods and results. My dream is that a year from now she realizes how much FoxNews et al is the Big Lie.
