Toothsayer is largely misunderstood by most of 2p2's politard crew. Most think he's an imbecile while, in fact, he's a genius. I am not kidding and I offered the reward to induce him to participate bec I want to read what he's got to offer.

Do you even understand how this game works? If he's a genius (loooool), his answers will be completely unremarkable.

Maybe you'll get to see why you're wrong.

Zikzak's answer was exactly correct, and the fact that you don't see it indicates pretty conclusively that you haven't thought through this game very well. Tooth is belligerent and opinionated, but that's not the same thing as genius, unless your definition of genius is coming up with somewhat uncommon ways to argue for somewhat uncommon opinions he assumed to be true from the start.

I'll be shocked if I don't have the worst (lowest) score of all, but I'm IN.

Interesting (tough!) contest MrWookie ...

I wish one of your ten questions had been something along the lines of: Answer "Yes" or "No" to the following: Trump will be impeached and removed from office before his first term expires.

Does the winner of this contest get a special prize - like a Rolex "Presidential" wristwatch?

I don't find him belligerent at all. Opinionated, ofc. Those 'uncommon ways' that you speak of is his ability to pluck threads from places that you just don't see as relevant and weave them into a sophisticated narrative. I know this bec I do the same thing regarding topics that interest me. Tooth is smart and has an ability. You folks ought to read him more carefully.

We did. And then he was banned -- twice -- for being a giant, unapologetic racist. His narratives weren't sophisticated. They were just racist.

I haven't been reading much in Politics lately. If there's a single thread that I can examine please link it.

I know how to be a polemicist too. In high school it got me pats on the head for being a clever boy. In college it got me low grades because it's a stupid parlor trick that has no place in adult discussion.

lol, it's the BruceZ for the new generation. And he doesn't even do math.

It's funny, but I learned in college (the hard way) never to disagree with a professor - especially a "liberal" professor. They claim to encourage "a free flow of ideas and information," but if you hold a view that offends the sensibilities of your professor, your professor will get his/her revenge on the first paper you submit for grade. I remember in particular a professor I had who just happened to be Irish. I had read a book about the Cuban Missile Crisis - written by another professor - that was highly critical of President Kennedy and his handling of the crisis. The point of the book was not so much how Kennedy dealt with the missile crisis itself, but the events which culminated in the crisis; especially the botched Bay of Pigs invasion. The professor's point was that the Cuban Missile Crisis [probably] would not have happened - bringing the world to the brink of utter destruction - if Kennedy had not launched (and then aborted) the Bay of Pigs invasion. The author of the book advanced the theory that Khrushchev and the Russians were fully justified in placing intermediate range ballistic missiles on the island of Cuba after the United States (and Kennedy) had launched an invasion with the express purpose of toppling Castro. Castro (and Khrushchev) had every reason to believe that Kennedy would try again, so installing the missiles was a direct consequence of the Bay of Pigs.

So, as part of a class assignment, I write up a review of the professor's book. This was highly offensive to my professor - who was a great JFK fan - and thought our former President had handled the crisis brilliantly. I got a "C" on my paper - along with a stern written rebuke about being "wrong" and misinterpreting history. I learned from that experience that you deal with college professors the same way you deal with women: Tell 'em lies and feed 'em candy.

MrWookie:

Here's another fun game we can all play while awaiting the reveal: Posting a guess of our scores. Not that I lack confidence in my political genius and brilliant prognostication skills (Ha! Ha!) but I'm virtually certain I have (at best) a 2 percent chance of winning this contest. I'm going to be optimistic (or delusional?) and predict that my score comes in at "20". (As President Trump says: "Time will tell ...")

As a college professor, this sounds like total bull****. Granted I'm in math not history, but I don't have a friend who thinks like this, never heard any idea espoused like this at a conference, never seen an example of it. Most professors actively encourage students exploring a range of views and are worried about being sensitive to this.

That your post has nothing to do with the person you quoted doesn't help your case. Your sexist tripe at the end and scare quoting "liberal" at the beginning doesn't help either.

On the flip side, I wrote a paper in college advocating for legal online gambling and it changed my professor's mind (who was initially opposed to it) on the subject, and I got a great grade
